This buffer/grinder replaced a similar Craftsman machine that was a shop fixture since the early ‘50s. I use it with 6” wire wheels to remove rust to clean up tools and miscellaneous metal parts. This six inch polisher is everything I wanted. It comes with two sewn polish wheels, and all of the accessories to hold them on the shafts. This machine is very quiet, very stable with minimal vibration. I have yet to bolt it to my stand, but as I found out , it operates quite well even without being bolted down. I ordered a light to go with this little machine, but has not arrived yet, so I look forward to having things lit up so I can get busy with my rouges and polish some parts for my Jeep CJ5 and some brass pieces I have on top of my wood stove. If you have large pieces that require some pressure you might want a bigger motor. When I received my polisher one of the wheels was defective shed way to much the seller ihubdeal requested a picture then they sent me a new wheel

My old buffin wheel finally gave up the ghost, and I use it so rarely, I just couldn’t justify buyin a big name one. This on was just the right price and runs at just the right speed for my needs. I do custom leatherwork and many times folks drop off their knives needin a new sheath and the knife’s finish is a bit rough. If’n I know they ain’t real cowboys, I polish the blades a bit, cause I know they’ll appreciate the extra attention to detail when making them a custom sheath. If’n they’re real cowboys, I leave the blade finish alone so I don’t get a look of bewilderment at why I would waste time polishing a work knife. Anyways, this is a great polishin/buffer for occasional light work since it doesn’t have a variable speed. It just has one speed…on. ... show more

I build all my tool stands using simi brake drums and schedule 40-8" pipe . It makes a heavy duty stand that will not tip over. This polishing motor has good torque and suits my needs very well. Good price for what it is. No vibration. I read a review stating it was dangerous?? I've been polishing for over 55 years and have found what makes a machine dangerous is the person being careless. Treat it with respect and you'll be safe. I polish large motor parts down to custom carburetors and do it safety. It can be done. I was very happy with this polishing motor until it came loose from its base. returned for a second polisher which is solid so far, That's why you get the warranty. ... show more
