  • The screwdriver is great, the case could have been thought out better.
I've been wanting one of these for years. My last electric screw driver was 25+ years ago. It was basically a small cordless drill. In comparison, this screw driver is tiny. It's about the size of a fat pencil. First of all I love this screwdriver, it's small, it has enough torque, it included tweezers and a walnut pick, but there are some things I wish were different... The handle is anodized aluminum. They really should have put rubber grips around it. Holding hard, smooth aluminum isn't as comfortable. I understand that they wanted a small screwdriver, but it a bit to skinny to hold well. Rubber grips on the handle would have helped. The second issue is that if the collet isn't attached it's too short to make contact with the charging pins. This is a three sided problem: 1. You have to take the collet off every time you use one of the screwdriver bits. 2. You have to put the collet on every time you charge it. 3. There is no place to store the extra collet while you use the screw driver bits. The net effect is that if you loose the collet you can't recharge the device, rendering the device inoperable. They must have realized this because they gave you one extra collet. On the plus side, once you loose one collet you then have a place to store the spare collet while you use the bits. There is storage space for one collet in the case. The solution for both these problems is pretty simple. First take the spare collet off the screwdriver and store it someplace really safe that you won't be able to remember. Then take a few o-rings (I used nice silicone o-rings) and put them over the handle. The down side is that then the cover won't slide over. I'm leaving it on my desk so this isn't a problem for me. I just wanted to be able to return it to the case and have it charge. Warning- If you drop or shake it without it's cover on all the bits will explode out of the case and you will spend the next hour finding, sorting and returning them to the case. While taking pictures for this review I fumbled it while flipping it over. It only fell 1-2" inches, but nearly every bit flew out of the case and went everywhere. The bits are 5/32", normal size screwdriver bits are 1/4". They didn't include an adapter, but you can buy one for a few dollars. This isn't a complaint about this screw driver, but most of the Chinese made tools like to call these bits 4mm. The are not 4mm, they are 5/32" . 5/32" is 3.96875mm. It's impossible to fit a 4.0mm bit into a 3.96875mm hole. Their desire to force their metric system upon us is annoying. ... show more

  • The best mini drill I’ve ever tried.
I’m so impressed with the speed, torque, and ease of operation. I have 2 other, now non operational, as I use this most every day. This unit is by far the best I’ve used. It’s easy to charge, store and use and it perfect for a small travel unit. I love the fact that it takes up so little space but is hefty in torque and switches to manual mode with just a flip of a switch. I recently had to dismantle a laptop computer wit teeny tiny screws, the kind you need a magnifying glass and needle nose teeezers to even pick up the screws. This was perfect for the job. I survived the project without any screws by left over..!! 🤯 A few details: This drill set has a 400 RPM motor with a unique switch between manual and electric modes. • Nice tool not the torque I hoped for
I like that it can be used as a regular screw driver to break the bolts loose, then use the power to remove them. It works for reporting my RC trucks, I thought it would be more powerful for the price. The metal container is nice with the ability to charge while the driver is in the case, but these features don't replace torque. It is a nice sturdy, well built tool, especially if you're working in small items like phones or computers. It works, I'm keeping it, but I just expected a little more for the price. ... show more

  • Well Built
I have almost no improvement suggestions for this torque control screwdriver, drill, jewelers tool kit, micro repair tool kit, or just "xTool", Electric Precision Screwdriver Set. The case of this set is of cast aluminum and is very durable; you can just throw it around and not effect anything contained inside. To open the case just press the red button and this unlocks the case and it slides open. I think this is the only minor improvement I thought about , that is to have a seal in this area so when you close the case it would seal the case and internal bits. However, without the seal it is still great; when I opened the case none of the 48 different types of bits fell out. The bit holder slots are all magnetic so the bits stay in place. As a result all of the bits are magnetized, do not let this deter you because there is a slot to magnetize and demagnetize the bits. this kit even comes with 9 drill bits and the xTool includes 2 different size collets and retaining nuts. Yes, you are right, you can use your small Dremel bits inside the xTool Precision Screwdriver. This screwdriver has a built-in led light to make it easier to see when installing and removing screws. You can also use this screwdriver just manually; but remember that would be a lot of toque on those little screws and connectors. To keep from overtightening or breaking screws this xTool screwdriver has 5 selectable torque settings; You have torque settings 1-4 and torque setting number 5 is for continuous rotation, to select when you are using the drill bits. this kit is powerful and has a lot of abilities for its size, it has a long lasting battery so you can just put it in your pocket and go. This will come in handy when working on security cameras and my drone. The xTool precision Screwdriver Set is a must have tool kit and it has a good price point. If you are wanting a jewelers type tool kit; I recommend the "xTool", Electric Precision Screwdriver Set. ... show more

  • Never had this option before
I have a couple of these micro screwdrivers, but this is the only one with an option for a drill bit. It still has a multitude of bits, should cover dang near all the applications you might have, but it will let you use a drill bit!! I've tried a few of the bits, a couple of pieces fought me to stay where they were. The screwdriver won the fight, and it didn't slip very much, just at the start until you find the pocket. As for the drill bits, it has a specific cap and will use different sized collets, if you've used a Dremel or knock off then you know how to change it. This is a very nicely made tool, as with any rotary tool it's easy as sitting in the sun to use the li'l beastie. I know this is your biggest question, that's why I saved it for last, the battery. I put in a drill bit and ran it for around 20 minutes or so. I did also use it on a few pieces before, but that's pretty good for a battery this small. Is it a value? I'd say so. Would I buy this again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes. ... show more

  • Clever design, real driver power, and versatile
This xTool mini power screwdriver kit provides a massive number of mini screwdriver heads and micro drill bits in a very small space. Each bit has its own clearly labeled slot, and all are held magnetically to the storage core of the kit. The driver itself charges from its storage cradle, and is charged while the storage case is closed, so everything can stay together and be fully charged and ready when needed. I have a small power driver and kit for mini screwdriver bits I've used for phone, tablet, and computer repairs, but this xTool system is unique in that it includes micro drill bits as well as screwdriver bits, and has 5 selectable levels of torque, including one for drilling, as well as the possibility of using it as a manual driver. The set includes two collets for holding the drill bits, similar to those used in rotary tools. And there's a bonus in that rotary tools can be used in this tiny little device, especially useful for light smoothing and polishing where that's needed, though this driver maxes out at 400 rpm. (Photo) The kit also includes a spatula prybar, useful for things like getting under glued-down batteries, as well as a pair of flat-nosed tweezers. Those highly useful tools don't fit in the storage case, but are easy enough to slip in the same drawer where the driver is kept. This xTool set is impressively complete, containing a vast variety of screwdriver tips, many of them in multiples -- Philips, flat head, Torx, hex, triangle, and several bits I've not yet come across in repairing electronics. A perfect set for computer building and repair, but also in phone and tablet repair (though you'll still need a spudger, suction cups, and so forth for tasks like screen replacements). Pocket-sized, cleverly designed, surprisingly powerful for its size, and highly versatile, a great set for anyone who repairs his/her own electronics. ... show more

  • Pretty slick within its expected limitations
Although drill drivers and impact drivers are great for driving drywall screws or heavy duty jobs, some jobs require a bit more finesse. Enter the xTool mini electric screwdriver kit. First of all, the kit has a slick metal case that holds the driver, collets, drill bits and various drivers. There are six drill bits from 1.6mm to 3mm. If you are used to American standard measurements, the smallest bit is about 1/16”, and the largest is about ⅛”. I wish that the drill bits had hex bases like the drivers because that would eliminate the need for the collets used just to lock the drill bits in place. The drivers all have mini hex shafts that don't require a collet. I can't think of an advantage to using a collet for the drill bits instead of just having a hex shaft, but maybe there is some reason for that. I confirmed that other mini driver bits work with this, so my mini Torx bits and other specialty bits will work with this. Standard ¼” driver bits will not work with this, so if you have certain security bits that you use regularly, you will have to buy a set with the mini hex shaft in order to use them with this driver. As for power, this has plenty of power for the kind of screws one might typically drive with the size of drivers that are included. For example, this had no problem removing mounting screws from guitar tuning machines. It did, however, refuse to loosen a screw holding in a guitar strap mount. In that case, I started it manually, and used the driver once the initial lock was overcome. For small electronic part machine screws and such, this will be fine. If you are the kind of person who will benefit from owning an electric precision drill driver, you already know this could be useful. If you are someone who likes gadgets but doesn't do much work on the small stuff, this probably won't fall under the category of must-buy tools. But it is kind of cool. ... show more

  • Premium Precision Screwdriver Set
I've used quite a few precision screwdriver kits over the years for electronics, watches, laptops, and other small devices, and this xTool set stands out. The electric screwdriver has plenty of power for precision work, and the 400 RPM speed makes removing and installing screws much faster than doing everything by hand while still maintaining good control. The overall quality is excellent. The aluminum screwdriver body feels premium in the hand, the storage case is well organized, and each bit fits securely in its designated slot. With 52 different bits included, I haven't had trouble finding the correct size for phones, gaming controllers, computers, eyeglasses, and other electronics. Battery life has been very good, lasting through multiple repair sessions before needing a recharge. The compact size also makes it easy to store in a drawer or take on the go without sacrificing functionality. Overall, this is a thoughtfully designed precision toolkit with excellent build quality, a wide bit selection, and dependable performance. Whether you're a hobbyist or someone who frequently repairs electronics, it's a versatile kit that offers excellent value and feels like a premium product. ... show more
