  • Easy setup, works great! If I can do this, anyone can!
Color: Red
I had to return my xTool D1 Pro 20W because of two manufacturer’s defects, so I already owned all the extras (air assist, enclosure, honeycomb bed, and a ton of materials. This bundle was perfect for me- I got two laser heads, a 5W and a 20W for $300 less than if I bought another 20W alone. Having already put one together, then taking it completely apart to return, I put this one together in less than 20 minutes (the first one still took less than an hour.) Don't be afraid you won’t be able to put this thing together—it’s very easy!! The manufacturer has made it very easy, and everything except scissors is included. My best advice if you’re new to lasers is go to YouTube and follow one of many assembly videos, while following along with the instruction book included. PLEASE read the instructions that come with it, specifically the list on Page 2 of materials you should NOT LASER! I’m on quite a few forums, and every week there’s one or two people showing their lasered VINYL records, among other things. This will eventually wreck your diode laser and create chlorine gases, damaging your lungs. Please educate yourself, as this is not a toy. Getting off my soapbox now…. Have fun! ... show more

  • Much better than 10W for deep engraving
Color: Red
I originally purchased the 10w system just to make sure I could use it learn its capabilities. It wasn't too hard to learn and I did mess up a lot of "trial runs" but was soon ready to go. I wanted deeper and faster cuts so I purchased the 20w and what a difference it has made. You have to be careful with the added power though, it get get messy quickly so do your research. ... show more

  • This is for D1Pro and it’s going to help tremendously since I only had xTool D1 10watt non pro
Color: Gray
I am a current Xtool owner and know their quality. That is why I bought it. Since I didn’t have a pro model, I ordered the D1 Pro 5watt. It was ridiculously low price, so I bought the 20watt pro module and total was less than a 20watt pro model. Got 2 laser modules. Will use the 5watt for fine ngravings ... show more

  • Very Useful
Color: Gray
Much more powerful than the 5w I had. Be aware it is bigger on the rail so it will hit the indicator sooner.

  • Prepare to be disappointed
Color: Gray
Bought this and installed it on my D1 Pro. My first impression was not good as there is no alignment cross like on the 10 watt head. I tried to engrave a tumbler using an existing design. I used the same settings as I had for the 10 watt laser and was disappointed by what came out. Even after a lot of elbow grease to get soot off there were areas that were still dark. To get comparable results I had to set the process to 2 passes. I'll try other projects I have made like cutting boards and coasters to see if the results are any better. UPDATE... Where was Xtool during all of this? The replacement process has been a bit of a pain but I cant thank Amazon enough. It seems the only option I had was to send the bad head back and wait for the credit. Once the credit was applied I would have to purchase another head. With the help of Amazon they sent me put a replacement and I had it the next day. I installed the new 20 watt head and did my first engraving. What a difference a working laser head makes. I make my existing designs faster and cleanup is significantly less. The depths of the cut I can get on wood is amazing and my wood engravings look much better. With all of this said I would recommend you get the 20W watt laser if you are running a 10 watt machine. ... show more

  • This thing really cuts!
Color: Gray
The media could not be loaded. I’ll start by saying, I own several xtool products (D1pro 10 watt, D1 pro 5watt, extension kit, enclosure etc) and each of them have their purpose. For diode lasers on the market, this is the only brand I trust. I will continue to purchase Xtool brand products when there’s a need to expand. With that said, while the 5watt and 10watt lasers are great for their intended purposes, I needed a laser with more cutting power than offered by the latter. While they aren’t the cheapest option on Amazon, you get what you pay for. High quality, solid constructed, sleek designed lasers that produce steady consistent power. So I bought the 20 watt laser module to increase my depth of cut while still offering simple swapping of laser heads to the gantry when needing to. The 20 watt laser module added the ability to fine adjust the laser focal point, allowing you to lower the unit a little bit more and penetrate wood deeper and cleaner. While the 10 watt can handle deeper cuts, it’s ideal max is around a quarter inch or so in most wood types. As you can see in the video I uploaded, the 20 watt laser effortlessly cut 1/2” maple plywood, mostly in 1 pass. You can see the smoke start to escape from the bottom instantly - the second pass was to assure it made it through. I used 6mm per second at 100% power for this example but am very confident that if I lowered it by a second slower, it would have done it in one pass. In addition it went right through 1/4 inch mdf with no problems at all. All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase. Can’t wait to find the need for the 40 watt module 🤯 ... show more
