It's good
Review Image by elviscera
Two working optical cables and a free LED light to help plug the cable in correctly (handy if there is not a lot of light at the back of the PC etc.). If you are not experienced in using optical cables, do remember to remove the clear shipping protectors at *both* ends of the cable. The image shows the cable with one protector removed and (as a point of comparison) one not removed. Do not attempt to use this cable unless both protectors are removed -- the cable will not work and inserting the cables with the protectors in place will probably damage the equipment. Enough said. I have no idea why the complaints concerning the diameter of the cable and the claimed commensurate frailty, the cable only has to pass light, and snap in to the socket securely. It's plenty sturdy for the intended purpose. It's not intended to be used for water skiing, towing cars, or as an anchor line or mooring for a boat. It's not electrically conductive, it's purely optical, it doesn't need decorations such as gold plating or nylon braiding. This cable, with reasonable care, will likely outlast its owner. Ignore the haters, it's a good deal. ... show more

Good price for adequate cables
Simple, looks just like the picture. Good quality sound, minimalist cord with simple plastic wrap. It works just fine, but best suited for setups that will be left alone.

Does what it's supposed to do
I bought these to replace the thick jacketed cable that was so heavy it would not stay plugged into the back of my computer, it would fall out at the slightest bump or movement. These cables are much, much lighter, and stays in place, which saves me from constantly crawling under my desk to plug it back in. There is no noticeable difference in the signal it sends to my DAC from the computer, which is expected since it is just sending light, it either works 100% or it doesn't. The only downside is they do seem fragile, but I don't intend on tying them in knots or using them as shoelaces, so I'm not too worried about longevity. ... show more

A real bargain!
Very nice and extremely thin Toslink cables. These are super easy to zip-tie between a sound bar and television. I didn’t really need a second one, but it came in handy to replace a much bulkier one that I had in my home theater setup, making it easier when I have to dust behind the cabinet.
