Time will tell if sunlight resistance is up to par, but it looks as good as any. I checked loss at 2 Meters (146 MHz) and it was only 1.02 dB for a UHF-connectored 40 foot feeder, with 1.067:1 SWR terminated into my VANA. It doesn't get better than that.

This is good quality, low loss coax for amateur radio and other 50 ohm applications. I attached the attenuation plot for up to about 30 MHz and it closely matches the specifications. As with all such cable, loss increases with frequency, so expect significant attenuation for VHF and UHF. With a center conductor of close to 12 AWG stranded, it's a bit more flexible than some other low loss cable of this diameter but still fairly stiff. I purchased this knowing better, however I needed it fast, so I took a gamble. The cable only has "RG213" on it, no name or company info to get specs. Right out of the bag you feel it and tell it is very cheaply made. Using a wattmeter this cable has almost a 3db loss, so you are losing about half of your power. As for the price: this coax is $0.99 per foot. To put that into perspective, if you go with arguably the best coax you can get, Messi & Paoloni, you can get 30 meters (98.4 feet) of their RG213 plus for $0.89 per foot, including shipping. The drawback is that it may take 3 -5 days to get it if ordered straight from them in Italy. Even if this coax was half the price, do you really want to go through the hassle of installing 100' to have poor reception? ... show more

This is some heavy copper! Excellent quality cable, with a stranded center conductor, solid dielectric, impressive braid, and a thick but compliant jacket. Even at 100-feet of length, ohming out the cable with a true RMS DMM showed zero resistance. As stated at the end of the listing, no spool is included- this cable is neatly wrapped and zip tied. It is, of course, also unterminated. The cable is workable, but does try a little to hang on to its coiled state- it is thick cable. I selected this cable for use with CB radio- to run between the radio and base-station antenna. PL-259 connectors (not included) fit very well, and soldered nicely to this cable. My station sounds great, and I couldn't be happier. ... show more

This is REAL copper, the roll is heavy, the cable has good flexibility and the jacket and dielectric looks good. Shielding is just the copper braid as per the spec of the cable. It's flexible enough that I think I can use it in a hinged application with semi-regular movement, but obviously good for permanent installs as well. ... show more

For $0.99 a foot, I wouldn't expect the best coax on the market, but this is pretty good quality wise. It meets all the specifications. Most coax on the market does what it says it will do, it all comes done to how well it holds up in the weather and what its like to work with. I prefer a foam dielectric and this one is a more rigid insulator. There's nothing wrong with it, its just a little more stiff especially when trying to manipulate it on the work bench to solder on a connector. For a long run of coax that you won't mess with much, this is a pretty good deal. Once you get the connectors on it, it should be worry free for years. ... show more
