Im impressed with this little winch. I got the version with steel cable. I put it on a car hauler and it pulled my heavy X5 up the ramps and onto the trailer with no undue strain. The kit seems to be made of decent quality materials. I haven’t tried the wireless remote. I understand some people have issues with it but there’s a specific process to get it to work. The only issue I had was it has a small positive wire that must be connected to power in order for the winch to work. This wire is really short. I don’t feel like it deserves -1 star, but the manufacture could make this 3-5 ft long. Follow up: I bought 25’ of #2 wire and power pole connectors to make the installation portable. The winch has been through several west Texass mud storms (alternating brief showers and high winds) and still operates perfectly

Pay attention to the colored post and not the diagram in the manual, it doesn't match. Hook the red wire to a powered switch like the light like I did. Remote instructions are on back of remote, hard to see. Besides the lousy instructions it works perfect

Very east to install, didn't need the direction, inqould suggest make sure you order a mounting bracket for your particular 4 wheeler, I needed to order one for my 2005 Honda foreman for it to work

I bought the 2500 lb unit, but once I received it, noticed that the 2500 lb was the peak power and that the power under other circumstances will be much lower. Pay attention to this detail, which is not listed in the product description. I promptly returned it and got the 4500 lb model with the steel cable. It worked for 2 pulls. On the second pull if had the cable cross itself too many times to where it got stuck on the mounting bolts. Trying to reverse it caused the cable to kink. I had to cut 10 ft of the cable off to fix it. I hope it does not do it again the next time I use it!

I bought 2 of them for my wife and my Suzuki Eiger ATVs First of all the wiring instructions States to install the provided (circuit breaker) on the red battery cable. And It was listed on the parts list. But was not in either box. These keep your ATV from possible catching fire . If there is a problem with the winch or wiring Contacted there customer service And they replied it will be alright with out it. (I Had to buy 2 of them $20.00) Description of the parts said that the handlebar controller wire was 8 ft long the wires were only 3 ft long too short non-usable. The heavy Gage cables that go to the winch we're supposed to be 6 ft long they were only 5 ft long (had to buy 4 of those. For $30.00. )They just shorting you on the parts to save them money. So save your money and buy a quality winch you'll save in the long run.
