I’ve had the XOP for over a year now and have left it in the elements the entire time. It locks onto the tree very well and gives you confidence to stand even to the outer edges if needed. There is no rust and it doesn’t creak when weight is shifted. The seat cushion is comfortable and removable during the off season. The seat flips up quietly so you can switch from sitting to standing. In the process of moving the XOP from one tree to another and accidentally dropped it 20 feet to the ground. I inspected it after the hard crash and it had no damage. I tested it out and no issues came from the drop. Still does not creak and is very sturdy when properly installed. I would like to start out by saying that I love the comfort and security of this stand. The seat is very comfortable and for someone like myself who has a hard time sitting still for long periods of time due to a bad knee really appreciates the flip over seat with cushion to stand and lean against. It's a great option to have while in the tree to maintain that comfort level while stretching out your legs. The seat cushion itself is also comfortable for me as well and I'm at 200 lbs. I'm a fan of the thicker style pads myself like the one on the Air Raid. Secondly I like the 6 point bat wing for the possibility of more contact points touching the tree depending on the shape if it. It leaves me with a good peace of mind knowing that. As I work my way down the stand I love the casted center beam. It's rock solid with zero noise possibilities as far as I can tell. It also gives the stand that overall complete look to it and that it didn't cut any corners when manufacturing or designing the stand. The adjustable seat angle and platform are also a nice touch compared to some others I have that don't have that feature. It opens up a lot more possibilities of the trees I can be hanging in. Also the platform adjustment mechanism is easy to use with gloves on and feels secure when tightened into one of the four possible positions. The platform itself feels rock solid with very little to no bounce in it all all when setup. The raised traction on top is a nice touch too for those dewey mornings. Overall I would and I will be recommending this stand to anybody in the market for one. I personally like the features of this stand over my Lone Wolf. And for the price difference between the two leaves a lot more finances to be spent on other hunting items as well :) ... show more

Out of the box, the stand appears to be a quality product, as it is. I like a preassembled stand, also. It is very light for its size. I really like the stand along with its leveling and mounting features. I purposely mounted it on a sideways leaning tree and it was just as sturdy as on a straight tree, which increases options for more precise huntable locations and not having to have a "perfect" tree. If I had to pick the stand a part I would probably got to the straps the hold the cushion onto the seat. I would like to see a snap or quick release strap so that the seat cushion can be removed more easily, during periods where the stand may be left on a tree overnight or longer. Weaving the straps in the morning darkness could be a killer. Another thing would be the seat leveling adjustment screw looks kind of skimpy with a lock nut on a bolt, although it is quiet, functional and I am reaching for straws here. I like the color of the stand although I think the paint on the alluminum platform makes the pour look imperfect and degrades the look of quality. One last thing, I understand the cam lock type of strap (its quiet). I know some people may not trust those as much as a ratchet type. At least for the upper strap that is. It was still as sturdy as any other stand.It may not sound like it but I do like the stand very much. It is super light and if a guy wants to carry in a loc on and sticks every hunt or even leave on a tree for weeks, this is your stand. The platform has plenty of room and a great shape. If this review sounds picky, it is, and I would still buy the stand again. ... show more

I was looking for a stand I could take on public land and trek in and out with each trip. This is NOT it. 11.8 as advertised is not accurate. By the time you get straps, bolts, seat cushion, and other hardware on it, it is well almost 14 pounds. The seat is comfy , it's pretty sturdy , although you'll feel better if you get a Rachet strap for the bottom of the stand. The included straps hold the stand up, but they don't keep it very snug against the tree. I tested it and it was pretty unstable with the included straps on a 10" diameter oak tree. I don't want that happening in the woods. Overall a good looking stand, but it's no lone wolf or millennium. For the price paid, I was hoping for a little more. ... show more

I have not yet hunted out of this stand since the season hasn't started yet but I have hung it in a tree and sat in it for 3 plus hours and did some archery practice as well. It is small and lite. That said, I do not feel that it is too small and I can stand and shoot without thinking about where the edge of the platform is. This was an initial concern of mine given its size but it proved to be a non-issue. I have another hangout as well and have used it for several years and really like it. This little guy promises more mobility and ease of carry. XOP is really setting the bar for hangout on stands with this stand! XOP makes a great stand and this one is a winner in my book. By the way, I have to commend XOP on their fast shipping. I ordered this on a Thursday afternoon and it was here Saturday morning. Keep up the great work XOP. The seat that comes with the XOP stand is extremely padded/thick for long sits, this seat would be crucial! The lightweight of the hang on is perfect for an old time hunter or if this is your first year hunting....very versatile! 100% would recommend! ... show more
