Hi I bought this in hopes that it would keep much of the ultraviolet rays from me. I am highly allergic. Used it on a date day with my son, he gifted me with tickets to the sunken gardens in St Pete FL, it was great protection! So glad I found it !!!!

I live in Arizona, so the sun and 120 degree weather isn't fun to walk around in, especially with the lack of shade here (I didn't grow up here, so I'm certainly not used to the sun at all). I don't leave my complex without this product, it makes such a difference! I do not feel that it would be durable enough to put up with the strong winds that hit Seattle every now and then, but that is not something I have to deal with in Arizona, so it is not a problem for me. The only other downside I can think of is that it's not the easiest umbrella to put away; I feel like I have to manually check to make sure each elbow of the 8 arms makes it into the base cup of the umbrella, and that if any of them don't make it in, I have to try again because it wouldn't properly be wrapped otherwise. It's pretty easy to wrap though compared to other umbrellas I've used though, so I guess the difficulty was just moved somewhere else. Pros: - Provides great sun protection - Beautiful designs - The base cup thing is some form of plastic, so you won't have to worry about scorching/freezing hands Cons: - Feels a little flimsy - Difficult to put away (may be a concern in cold/wet areas?) If anything breaks, I plan on returning to comment to at least let other customers know how long it may have lasted; no followup means it's still up and running! If I had to buy another one 6+ months from now for some reason, I certainly would for this product. ... show more

Color: UV Black
The umbrella I received had come apart in transit. The cap on the end of the umbrella would not stay on so the umbrella would not open and close properly so I had to send it back the same day I got it. I may have gotten one that was made on a Monday or Friday by someone who did not want to be there.
