My kiddo has been asking for a mask like this. Ordered this as a Christmas present for him. Seems like a fine mask, comes w solid padded top and soft side piece to go around, and adhesive sticker. The foam is soft. The electronic/lights aspect is already attached to the main part of the mask. It seems easy enough for a 9 year old to put together, maybe with a little help keeping things lined up. I like that he can see how it works and can put it together on his own. It may be because I have a big head, but I feel like it runs a little small. You are also going to need to assemble it, but it’s pretty easy and takes like 3 minutes. Mask came and I couldn’t even check it because it smelled extremely bad of fumes . I’m not sure what is the source of the smell but I had to leave it outside airing out. Very concerning since this is a Halloween mask for my child . Not sure what toxic chemicals can be making it smell so horrible .

Pretty simple to put together, my 5 year old helped assemble it! Yes it has a smell, not a deal breaker. Most Halloween masks have a certain smell. It just needs to air out a bit. My son is over the moon about this helmet, he hasn’t left it alone!

My son is using the mask for halloween but it is expensive for what it is. It’s made out of foam so be careful bc if u stab even your nail or something in it it’ll show. It’ll do the job though.
