I bought these curtains because though my kids preferred no curtains so they could see outside unobstructed throughout the day, they kept waking up super early with the sunrise. Since they’re not roosters and I’m an insomniac who’s not at all a morning person, I needed to find something they would approve of, that let us all sleep a bit longer. I prefer 100% blackout, heavy velvet curtains for myself, but knew I needed something lighter and more kid friendly, kid approved for them. Reminding myself to let them decorate their space how they want, with what makes them happy (and not me) I had them help me choose. These were one of many I found they might like. They chose these and picked the pink, purple and blue ones, because those are their top 3 favorite colors. The colors, punched stars and laced tulle made these the winner, by far. I don’t think they considered any of the other ones after they saw these. These are really cool, colorful curtains for kids. And the backside is white, which is good, so my HOA won’t complain. In the dark the pink looks more peach/ a bit oranged hue with the light coming through, but we don’t care. For the pictures I pulled the shade all the way up behind it, so the most light could come through, to see the difference. It’s very cloudy outside, but it’s bright enough to see how much light it blocks. These pictures were taken with the light on, then off in the late afternoon. The edges of the patterned curtain are scalloped, but the tulle-type fabric is sewn straight with a lace trim. I was worried about the scalloped edges being too much (for me-they don’t care), but the straight edges on the tulle balance it out. The curtains came folded up, but straightened out pretty well as soon as I hung them, so I didn’t steam them. They are also more stiff than flowy, and seem durable, like they would last a long time. I didn’t notice any discrepancies in the print, but the way they fold when hung, you get different shades of the colors facing out. Another non-issue for my kids. Just something I noticed. Overall, we like everything about these curtains. The wining feature, though, may have been the way the light filers through the punched star holes. Even their dad thought that made them cooler than other kid curtains, and he could care less about things like that. When we move in the next couple of years, we’ll definitely reuse these curtains and buy more if we need to cover more window. I don’t see my kids outgrowing these any time soon. ... show more

I bought these for my girls bedroom, they absolutely loved them, they are very well made and even came with tie backs, they are not room darkening and I will have to buy at least one more panel to completely cover their window. The colors are beautiful, I loved the value of what we got, if they we're just a little bit wider it would have been a perfect fit. I did but a special curtain rod, since they have a very well made hoop that the curtains hang by, will definitely get more for their room from this seller since it's such a great quality that is also affordable. ... show more

GET THESE!!! My daughter loves them. They are probably the cutest kids curtains I’ve ever come across. They are not blackout, which was exactly what I was looking for. They allow plenty of sun while still having privacy.

We've had these curtains for over a year now- they have held up very well through daily opening/closing sliding the grommets on a curtain rod, and my tween girl still thinks they're cool. The fabric and construction are solid- the curtains actually feel like fabric instead of that plasticky laminated shower-curtain feel I dislike about many cheaper blackout style curtains. The colors have not faded even though the window they're on is blasted with direct morning sun. The lace overlay is an elegant touch, and is not too flimsy or easily snagged either (despite kitten's handful of attempts to climb them). The star-shaped cutouts make for a cool starry sky effect, and while the hole punch angles and cuts are very precise, there were many that didn't actually get removed after punching, "hanging chad" style (see photo). Initially I figured this signaled cheap construction or a quality control issue, however neither of those concerns ended up being the case. The only potential negative I would mention are that they aren't truly blackout curtains- the amount of light the star cutouts let in can be significant and there's a bit of an overall glow-through on the pink/teal/purple color blend. The level of darkening is perfect for our needs, but if you need more blackout, perhaps ordering a darker color would give more of a true blackout effect. Would definitely recommend these and would purchase again. ... show more
