First off, I bought these for car camping, not for pets. I just want more ventilation while sleeping in my car. As you can see from my pictures, they fit great. I have them installed on my 2017 RAV4 FRONT windows. I've seen other reviews saying you can't get them on front windows, but as you can see from the pictures, I did. Yes, you have to work at it, but the more you use it the easier it gets. Unless you had a very tiny hand you can't get through the small gap. Maybe they won't work for other cars, but they fit a RAV4. My main concern when camping is the 2-legged creatures, and these give me a bit more protection. Although sturdy, you could rip them out of the window if you really want to. But there's no way you can get it removed before I will be awake and introducing you to my little friend. And adding the bug screen means no mosquitoes or other unwanted guests. Throw in a USB rechargeable fan for more air circulation, and it's just like sleeping at home. ... show more

These things are so cool. They are sturdy, they are nice and tall. Easy to install. Folds up nicely. BUT....bear in mind, if your windows are *curved* when rolled down, the curved part will NOT be covered. This is obvious to me now, but when I bought them I did not associate that. I had a set of these MANY years ago that I always used with my little pup. They are VERY sturdy. One would need to use a bit of force to break into your vehicle (then again, ANYone who WISHES to break in will find a way!!). Be aware that they work on a level type of window, such as a back window of a 4-door truck. Something that is "level" - as in with your front windows, normally there is a slope. These will NOT work with the sloped portion. Hence, if you were trying to keep your pet inside, you would use them on the back windows; as using them normally on a front window would leave a gap that your cat or small dog could get thru (OR a hand get INTO your vehicle to be able to unlock your car.
