I already had lots of "carpet tape" the problme is that carpet tape is extremely tenacious and can leave a sticky film even if you can remove the tape. I purchased this because it was described as easy to remove. All this stuff is CARPET TAPE that has been cut in thin rolls. This is essential in the woodshop. I go through a ton of it. its very strong and thin. I use it for all sorts of stuff including attaching temporary stops on jigs. It peals off with absolutely no residue to deal with.

Okay but is white, NOT CLEAR. Hopefully it doesn’t ruin my walls. White double sided tape and not clear. Wanted clear so it wasn’t visible on my walls from the plastic over our windows for winter.

We had to camp out in our basement during remodel and worried that critters would crawl up the bed legs. We wrapped the bed legs with this stuff. Didn't catch anything, lol, but made us feel better. One spider did drop in on us from the ceiling. Guess I could have created a double tape box on the ceiling too, but never tried. It is a little bit tricky to put on and take off. I used this tape to insulate an added bathroom on my house. The plumber apparently considered in-wall insulation a nuisance that interfered with his pipes. I have white aluminum siding, so this looked like perfect way to affix Styrofoam to the exterior of the room. It worked perfectly. I subtracted a star only because the plastic backing is very hard to remove. Even my wife's fingernails weren't much help. But it adheres well and does the trick.     • Excellent double faced tape.
I use double faced tape for woodworking. This is a cloth cored tape with very good adhesion. The price was exceptional for the quality of the product. There are some applications when paper tape works a little better, and some paper tapes are a little thinner, but I find it works far better than a mylar film cored tape. I gave up on 3M products because the price became ridiculous. This product is comparable to the 3M double faced tape I have used in the past. ... show more

I've only recently received my order of this tape, and I've only used it a few times so far on some wood-working projects. But it holds very well, and releases from my projects without causing any damage. It's a bit thicker than I was expecting, but as long as you take that into account when setting up your cut, it works just fine. I'll buy this again and would recommend it to anyone for their wood-working projects. ... show more

Not a connoisseur of double-sided tape, but I love this stuff. I used it to tape templates to both finished and unfinished wood. It is pretty sticky, but when I removed it, there was no residue on the wood and it didn't damage the finish (longest it was on the finished was an hour or two). You have to be careful when taping thin stock not use too much tape are you won't be able to get it back apart without damaging it. ... show more
