  • large scope would recomend
good product keep in mind though this scope is large. clarity is pretty good all the way to full power , seems very well built , nice clicks on the adjustment turrets easy to set up and zero in at 500 yards . seems to hold zero at that distance as well i have it on a 300 PRC rifle which has a very hard recoil, the only thing that i have found so far is illuminated reticle is not very bright even on the brightest setting hard to see in daylight with the sun shade on and the adjustment turrets are very large but are also very easy to see . over all nice scope ... show more

  • The Discovery XED is a fantastic value for a scope under $700.
Style: XED 6-36X56 MRAD
For the past three years, I've been deeply involved in the precision shooting scene, honing my skills and really getting to know what makes a great scope. I started out using an Arken Optics EP5, which worked well for me at ranges from 100 to 300 yards. However, when I ran into a problem and needed support, Arken’s customer service just wasn’t there. I had to go through Amazon for a resolution, and that experience really pushed me to look elsewhere. During that time, I saw how quickly my shooting partner got his Discovery Opt issue resolved—literally in two days. That sealed the deal for me. I decided to move to Discovery Opt, and I was looking for something similar to the EP5. That’s when I found the Discovery Opt XED, their latest and greatest model. I went ahead and got it, and now I'm excited to share how it performed. Glass Clarity and Magnification Performance; When it comes to clarity, the Discovery Opt XED really delivers a huge bang for the buck. For something under $700, it genuinely rivals scopes that are up in the $3,000 range. I’ve been using it comfortably out to 500 yards so far, and I'm working my way up to 1,000 yards and eventually that one-mile range. Even at low magnifications, the image is bright and clear. And when you crank it up to high magnification, you still get plenty of light and a crisp, sharp target image. The parallax adjustment is really smooth, and I hardly notice any blurry edges even at the higher zoom levels. It's clear across the board, which is just excellent. Windage and Elevation Adjustments; When it comes to dialing in my zero and adjusting for different yardages, the elevation turret is really smooth. After I plug my ballistics into my iPhone and make my adjustments, I can feel each click distinctly. There’s no jamming or that rubbery feel—just crisp and precise adjustments on the elevation side. The only small issue I’ve noticed is on the windage side. It doesn’t feel quite as accurate in terms of dialing. The adjustments are there, but I’m not seeing the same perfect accuracy that I get with the elevation turret. Aside from that, everything else is working really crisply. In conclusion, an excellent choice for precision shooters on a budget. The glass is crisp even at high magnification, and the elevation adjustments are smooth and precise. While the windage adjustment is a bit less exact, it's a minor tradeoff for the overall quality you get. I've mounted this scope on one my precision shooting rifles: Tikka T3x ACE Target and waiting for an excuse to upgrade my Tikka T3x Tactical from Arken's EP5 to the Discovery XED. If you're looking for a dependable optic that won't break the bank but still delivers top-tier performance, the Discovery Opt XED is definitely worth considering. It’s been a fantastic addition to my precision shooting setup, and I’m excited to see how far it can go. ... show more

  • Scope out this deal before they run out or the tariffs kick in!
Style: XED 6-36X56 MRAD
Got mine in MRAD rather than MOA to make my life easier as I adapt to long-range "devices". This thing absolutely reeks of high-end quality, even though it comes from a country that in the past has had a less than stellar quality reputation. Don't be fooled--the tooling in said country has improved by leaps and bounds over the last several decades, and this scope is evidence of that improvement. The glass is from Japan and is top-quality; if you've owned any photographic equipment, you'll understand how good their glass can get. It is definitely not for a plinking rifle or for harvesting small game under 100 yards. Nope--this thing is designed for reaching out and touching things at 600, 800, 1,000 yards and much further. It comes with custom scope rings that will secure your scope perfectly no matter how much recoil without damaging the scope tube. Lots of features I love: shock-proof, water-proof, fog-proof, and nitrogen-filled; illuminated FFP Christmas Tree reticle; a 35mm tube for a massive amount of turret travel; 6x36 magnification with a zero-stop/zero re-set turret. The price is mind-blowingly low for the features you get--grab one soon! Highly, highly, highly recommended! ... show more

  • Quality materials and build with a decent sight picture.
Style: XED 6-36X56 MRAD
My initial thought was this would be to large; however, the weight is nearly unnoticeable once mounted. I am still not used to the physical size while transporting but during use it has not been an issue. This zeros easily and has held zero after about 200 rounds of 308. Eye relief is good and the build quality is durable. I have found that making adjustments on the fly was easy. Definitely a good quality optic and worth your attention if you’re a hunter. ... show more
