I actually really like this set, exceot for one thing, which is the reason I'm taking off a star. I can't read the weight numbers! If you look on Amazon , the very 1st picture shows painted white numbers, which are very easy to read. The set actually has the numbers cut into the plate where they are. I can't read them even with multiple lights on in the room. The other pics on the site show them as they actually are on the set, cut into the plate. I thought maybe the one with the white numbers was a newer version. The fact that they show that first pic with the easy to read white numbers, misrepresents the product. I was looking at a couple of other sets of adjustable dumbbells by other manufacturers, but went with these because I liked the all black dumbbells with the easy to read white letters. They work, but you have to really be sure you're counting the clicks on both dumbbells. I like these, but going to go back and look at the other 2 sets I was looking at. This part of this dumbbell set, is almost a deal breaker for me. For the price they are asking, they should be able to highlight the cut out numbers with a bright color to make it easy to read. If you look at the pics I took, you can read them no problem That's my phone' s camera brightening them up. Not how our eyes see it. It's a solid set of adjustable dumbbells. It came very well packed, looks nice, works as advertised. Just a bit musrepresented by the 1st product pic on Amazon. Not sure if I'll keep them yet, I have to see my other options. I waited several weeks before reviewing because I was worried how these dumbbells were going to work but without a single issue and using them daily I think it’s safe to give these a great review. They do take getting used to because they are bigger than a regular dumbbell but after a few weeks I don’t think about that anymore. Saves space for sure and the weight selection system seems to be solid without any surprises like falling weights. Buy with confidence ... show more

I tried inexpensive dumbbells from Walmart, which one pair of a decent weight cost me $80 and didn’t even weight the same. I decided to try these adjustables, and I’m so glad I did! Comfortable grip, smooth weight transition, and does all I need out of their weight category. The XDDIAS round adjustable dumbbells are perfect for home use. You get a range of weights from 15 lbs to 55 lbs in increments of 10 pounds without having to buy 5 different sets of weights that take up a lot of space. I've used them several times with no problems. But 2 drawbacks: ➖ They are much wider (18 inches) than your average size dumbbell, so smaller people may need to adjust their grip and/or stance. ➖ The numbers are NOT white like the first picture shows (circled in red).
