Me: Do you like the smell of this diffuser? Husband: When I got up this morning I was really impressed that it smelled nice in here. So the answer is, I didn't mind it. Pros: 1. I love the box. It's gorgeous and would make a lovely stocking stuffer. 2. I like the vintage looking thick blue glass medicine bottle it's in. 3. The rattan reeds are impressive-- plentiful, lightweight, tall and thick. 4. It smells like an orange Creamsicle. 4. This might be a lovely scent to blend with the smell of a fresh cut Christmas Tree! Cons: 1. It says "Citrus" (which makes me think Lemon! Grapefruit!), but it's Orange scented. Just like the photos. It reminds me of an Orange Creamsicle (initially Orange Disinfectant came to mind). 2. The shape of the glass bottle might make it easier to tip over. 3. The instructions say to use gloves when handling. Not a con really, just a consideration. As time passes I'll update this with any unexpected findings regarding how long it lasts. Stars were (initially) deducted for labeling this "Citrus" instead of "Orange" (no, I wasn't able to take the photo hints) and because the bottle's narrow base may lack stability. But in the right place this would look great. UPDATE: Two days later, and I've upgraded this from a 3 to a 5 star review. I was initially taken back by the orange scent-- it had surprised me. I always wanted my house to have that inviting scent that perhaps a Hallmark store has. But today when I opened the door I thought Wow, that's an inviting smell. Less orangey from a distance and just delightful. So, five stars. But give it a couple days. ... show more

Everyone desires a refreshing fragrance in their home or apartment. Over the years, I've tried various brands and types of air fresheners. Without naming specific companies, I've experimented with chemical tablets that heat up from the socket, solid air fresheners that emit scent and shrink in size, and battery-operated or rechargeable diffusers heating liquid inside, producing scented oil vapors. However, none of these compare to the classic diffuser. In most cases (though exceptions exist), diffusers evenly disperse oils, avoiding sharp chemical smells and leaving only a light, sometimes barely perceptible, non-irritating scent in the room. This product was no exception but seamlessly integrated into the scheme I had in mind. The diffuser complements the aesthetics of any bedroom, living room, and bathroom. The scent of this oil can be described as a light fragrance of mandarin with a subtle hint of lemon and orange. The aroma is not overpowering and doesn't irritate the nose. Aesthetically, the oil bottle could have looked a bit better to serve as a room decoration. Due to this, I give the product four stars. My wife has a ton of fragrance devices in our household, we put them in closets, in our bathrooms, really everywhere. When we saw this in our cue we jumped at it. Really a cool way to introduce scent into your space. Much more decorative then our other plug ins, the reeds are functional in that they soak up the liquid and osmotically introduce the scent into the air, quite ingenious! The citrus smell is downright awesome with the amount of scent controlled by the number of reeds that you chose to soak in your liquid. The scent is not overpowering, which is important if your a sensitive to this. Fits perfect in our hall batthroom! Great price and a great alternative to those plugins. ... show more

This reed diffuser has a clean light scent from three kinds of citrus sources. It makes a very pleasant scent. Although “pleasant” differs from person to person, this is probably a pretty safe bet, being it is not a floral scent. Confession; I’m in love with Xclean brand defusers. Shortly after my first Xclean Reed diffuser arrive I sent for a second as I do not want to run out. This is my third one but the citrus fragrance is new to me and of course this one is also everything I’m looking for in a reed diffuser. This brand gives off the cleanest, freshest fragrance. It's a bottle of scented oil and a handful of wood sticks. It does what it's supposed to do and gives off a pleasant scent.
