Good Xbox gaming headset at a very affordable price. Very impressive to me that it can simultaneously connect to the Xbox and a smartphone. The dials on each side of the headset are amazing and such an intuitive feature. Microphone also functions fantastically and is easily used for phone calls on your phone or Xbox parties. Only complaints I have, I have to max out the size adjustment on the headset, because I have a huge head. Also, it deals with some connectivity issues but I think that's only because my girlfriend also has an Xbox nearby and it might be interfering with the signal.     • Very good sound for the price
Build feels solid, mic sounds pretty good, it's quite comfy(a little discomfort on the top of the head but I'm sure it's just getting used too and breaking it in), and I'm blown away by the sound. It's a little bass heavy but you can tune it in the settings. Seriously though these sound better than my $150 Sennheiser's that aren't gaming headphones. Really impressed. Great soundstage and it really feels like a home theater on the ears. Will say I had an issue with the mic not working in game even though I could hear it on the monitor but it seems to be fixed after talking with support and doing a power refresh cycle where I took the account off, powered down and unplugged everything from the Xbox, waited 2 minutes, started it up and added back the account but made sure not to import the old settings when prompted. The service guy said that something may have become corrupted. It seems too be working now! Will keep you posted! ... show more

    • Get this over the turtle bay
This is what you want to go with versus a turtle bay. After a terrible experience with the other comparable model from TB, I was relieved that this headset actually works as it should. Connects well, stable, and without a dongle. Overall way easier to use also.

    • Honest review after owning older version, and 2 pairs of these ones in 2yrs.
Sorry for long review, but i wanted you to know my honest experience. I've owned 3 pairs over the years. My first pair were the more expensive older version if you can find them which were great, but gave out. I bought the newer version that released because I loved the Dolby atmos quality, and solid mic along with the instant connection. The newer version was a bit tighter on my head though, and plastic seemed "cheaper" somehow. I do have a bigger head (fathead was my military nickname lol) but owned or own other headsets by Tozo, bose, beats, and skull candy that fit fine. These just seem to not expand as far, and taking them off I needed to be careful not to spread them to far because you could hear the plastic creak. Yes, I have the famous crackling problem that xbox refuses to fix but restarting console seems to take it away everytime. Annoying yes but its a firmware issue between the products, and the sound quality trumped the need to restart. Well after 6 months they just died, ok I didn't get warranty. So I bought a second pair. These seemed to be even cheaper made. Yes, same crackling but restart solves it. They look the same but feel diffrent somehow. Same version, same box, but just bought around 6 months later. Well after 3 months these broke at the left cup extender section. I'm not surprised because of tighter fit. A piece just broke free right where the adjustment slides and while the sound quality and all that was great the quality is poor. I rigged them with tape till I could replace, and decided not again. I bought astro a50s on sale for 249 at bestbuy got the geeksquad warranty for 2 yrs that covers everything including stupidity. A bit more yes, but the sound quality rocks, yes Dolby atmos on xbox series x, no bs crackling that xbox still hasnt fixed on their headsets, and works on xbox, ps5, pc, and my phone with the push of a button. There's a much pricer x version that has USB ports on charger stand but I didn't need that. They fit great, more comfortable, and much higher quality. 3 pairs in 2ish years, spent more than the new Astros with warranty. Piece of mind for 2 years now. Please if you do buy these get the warranty that covers everything to include breakage. These are cheaply made, plastic feels weak. A shame considering the sound is great, mic works great, but just seem to be getting cheaper and a fairly tight fit on a bigger head. ... show more
