Description

The BeadBuster XB-452 manual bead breaker tool has all of the benefits of the original XB-450, with the addition of a removable clamp arm, and a extra long clamp arm that is necessary to use with cast aluminum and alloy passenger vehicle rims which have contouring or angled clamping surfaces that make the standard, shorter, clamp arm difficult to use. The long clamp arm will project about 3″ below the feet of the 45X tools, and contact the rim further down where the clamping surface is more parallel to the tool axis. It does not require mounting and can be operated with hand tools, it is small and light enough to take on the trail for emergency tire changes. The BeadBuster applies a reaction force directly against the lip of the rim and won’t bend lightweight aluminum rims from high compressive forces. It has a padded clamp and will NOT SCRATCH your rims. The BeadBuster is ruggedly designed, built entirely from steel with solid welds, uses Grade-5 and Grade-8 zinc-plated screws, and is proudly MADE IN USA! Most importantly, the BeadBuster is effective at removing stubborn tire beads. It is much safer and easier to use than any other bead breakers on the market.

  • Totally awesome in a pinch
Worked great, took it out to the dunes to use on Sandrail tires and atvs. You have to be methodical using it or your could damage your rim, but it worked exactly as it should and takes up little space. Highly recommended.

  • Works well, made in the USA
I bought this to change tires on a Can am Spyder RT. The long arm with the plastic protectors worked well on the chrome rims. It is very easy to use. I'm hoping spending the extra money for a made in the USA tool will pay off in longevity and customer service if needed.

  • Good tool for right job light duty not for trucks
Does not work good on some mags

  • Got the job done
I would say it gets the job done but would work better on steel rims I used on alloy rim and needed to place a piece of cardboard between the rim and arm to prevent slippage other than that it’s a good product and worked well

  • The Best There Is.
You can break a tire bead with a hammer or you can break it with a $2000 tool. This little guy fills the gap between the two. And it does it effectively, safely and cleanly, every time. Now I grew up in a ghetto. We used bumper jacks, tire irons and jumped on tires to remove them. By the grace of God, I'm done with that and I can afford good tools. This is one to have. I had failing wheel sensors on my Fords, that were mostly gutted by rogue Guatemalans improperly dismounting the tires. I had to fix it myself. Just nobody capable around here today. The Bead Buster will break down a tire bead in a controlled way that doesn't rip out your pressure sensor or scuff up your alloy rim, and if that's what you want to do, this is the best way to do it. This tool and a spoon or flat bar are all you need to cleanly remove a tire from a rim. And hats off to a manufacturer who makes his tools in the USA. That means it will outlive you and me and that it actually works. It means your neighbors are supported. What's not to like? Want to do the job right, buy the right tool. This is it. ... show more

  • Works great until the threads strip
Works well until the threads strip. Yes, I lubricated the threads before each use and it still stripped. Quite irritating when you are in the middle of breaking a bead. You can't simply remove the screw either, it has a flared end to prevent this. You will have to cut the screw to get it out. Once you have it removed, you'll need a 7/16 screw with a 14 thread pitch. Probably a good idea to have spares before you start breaking beads. ... show more

  • Perfect, Nissan Altima w/ steel wheels & 215 60 R16 Tires
Works just as advertised. Will not find a better value. Used to replace all 4 TPMS sensors on 09 Altima w/ steel wheels & 215 60 R16 Tires. Lubed the tool's nut with grease & the wheels/tires with soapy detergent water. The tool latched onto the rim w/ first attempt. The tires came off beads with no issues, rotated the tool to a second position on other side of TPMS sensor, & after the release from the bead, I had plenty of room to work on the sensor. Loved the light weight & simplicity of the design! ... show more

  • Works as decribed without fail!
Needed a tool that would easily enable to me break the bead on my tire, so that I'd be able to replace the sensor. Saw this tool being used in an on-line video how-to and thought this would do the job. Once it arrived, I quickly began to do the task at hand, and was very pleased with the performance of this tool. I used an impact driver to turn the bolts and it got the job done very quickly and easy, with no hesitation whatsoever. It is a bit pricey, but is a worthy investment, it'll come in handy when I need to replace the other tire sensors. Great product, works as described, is easy to operate. ... show more
