Style: Palm Recognition Smart Deadbolt Lock
After researching many similar products, I settled on this door lock. Why? The features offered are second to none. I liked the idea of palm reading to unlock the door. The option to also use a code or use a key was appealing. Installation: It was easy to install as long as you have some knowledge of how to install a door handset and/or deadbolt. I installed it on an existing door that already had a deadbolt and handset making the installation easy. I work slow so the full installation took me about 45 minutes, not including programming. Price: The price was just right! High enough that I had confidence the quality would be there and priced a little below the competition. Instructions: The instructions were clear and easy to follow except for how to program it. At first, I didn't find any programming instructions and then realized that it must be accomplished using an app. (Later I noticed on the last page of the installation instructions a note to use the app to program it. I'd suggest to the manufacturer that the note regarding the app be printed more prominently.) Once I installed the app on my phone, programming was simple and quick. While there are plenty of programming options, I didn't find them to be so numerous that it seemed overwhelming. The app steps you through one at a time. Easy! Conclusion: While it's only been installed one day, it seems to work fine. We really like having three methods to unlock the door: Palm Read, Enter numeric code, Use a key. Can't get any simpler and flexible than that. I will provide an update in a few weeks but, in the meantime, I believe I'll purchase a second one for another door. Yep, I am very happy with the Wyze Palm Lock!

where to start. I was very hesitant with this product due to it being so new, but, great purchase and great product for the cost. Everything about this product was super easy to set-up, Wyze provides an install guide in the box and on the application. I installed and had this product working in under 30 minutes. it connected flawlessly to my Wyze system, including the alarm system. Codes are super easy to put in on the app, and you can set various codes for different people so the app will actually show you who locked and unlocked the door. Every person can have their own code, and palm recognition in the system. Overall GREAT product, below are some of the things I found best about this product that I didn't know before purchase. - Multiple Codes and Palms can be entered. - Can be set-up to lock and unlock with various automations. (my locks when I set the alarm) - Palm reader works regardless of light conditions - code panel is super easy to work with - can be manually locked and unlocked by hand / by app / or by automation

Being the skeptic that I am, I put off installing a smart lock for a long time. After seeing the Wyze Palm lock I took the chance and went ahead and ordered it. Install was straight forward and replace my deadbolt without issues. Programming was straight forward and adding users was fast and easy. The palm recognition is LEGIT! This thing works in pitch black darkness without fail (even without activating the keypad lights). No more kids locked out of the house or unlocked doors. I don't recommend instant lock if you are like me and forget something every time you leave the house. Having access to remotely unlock and set temp codes is a great feature. Knowing your door is locked by looking at app is a bonus. Door left open notification also a big plus! For background, I am 25 plus years into the security business. I have seen tons of locks, doors, bullet proof windows and high end things. I always hear people concerned about lock quality or some other reason for staying away from these types of locks. Bottom line, everyone has glass windows that are far easier to gain entry from than your door. Short of bashing it out with a hammer, this lock is as sturdy (or better) than locks costing 3 times as much. The dual battery feature allows added security that you won't be locked out when primary battery dies (big problem with other locks). Key back up option might come in handy for a complete failure but I am hoping this lock performs for many years to come. I don't get paid to say good things about Wyze products but I am not recommending this lock to customers who are shopping for an upgrade.

Love this deadbolt! My autistic kids are able to use it. That’s why I initially bought it. Love the features and no, you don’t have to pay for anything or get a subscription. It responds quickly to palm unlocks as well as keypad unlocks. You can also lock and unlock from the app and from Alexa. I would have preferred a stainless type model, but the black looks pretty awesome. It is super simple to setup on the app and add your palms and codes. Lots of app features. I have a storm door and I think that probably accounts for a main battery life of 1.5 months on saver mode. So I will probably switch to super saver mode. All that means is I will have to tap the face before unlocking. Love the back up battery that takes over automatically while I charge the main. Actual installation was pretty easy, even for a non mechanically inclined guy like myself. There was a deadbolt there before, so I didn’t have to cut or measure or anything like that. Absolutely worth the money!
