I originally received only the seat and was worried I wouldn't get the cockpit. But they are delivered separate. Amazon customer service helped me connect to WTRAVEL to confirm the cockpit is on its way.     • What you need know before you buy

Opened box and everything was in good shape. Materials grade A, fit grade A-, manufacturing process grade C, instructions grade C, correctness of fasteners A-. All nuts and bolts there but not a single washer, bought washers for about $5. In the manufacturing process they welded threaded plates onto tubing. In that process weld splatter got into the threaded holes. Save yourself trouble and run an 8mm tap through them all to have them clean before you start. It will take 10 minutes and save an hour of assembly time. Assembly is a 4 of 10 difficulty just because you have to look at the direction a lot because there are no written words or little IKEA person to point the way. Straight up took me 3 hours and I am mechanically inclined. Next one would take me 1.5 and a trip to the hardware store before I stared for pedal and wheel mounting plus 4@ m10x20mm to mount the seat properly. I will drill some custom holes for item specific mounting. Not absolutely necessary but a cheap upgrade that will help. Bottom line is you are looking at a budget cockpit manufactured in China. Seems pretty good and made out of solid materials but whoever made the instructions needs to be fired. Terrible instructions basically have to figure out how to build it yourself.

One bracket was damaged in shipping, and the seller shipped a replacement quickly, and resolved the issue with the product. I very rarely write reviews.. Especially a bad review. I know some people like to write a bad review because "my item was a couple days late" or "the box was dented"... Not an actual review of the product. I can truly say that I'm taking time out of my day to write this because I am so disgusted with this product and people need to know about it. Looks like it would be a no brainer.. even with the horrible instructions that make no sense...I know how to put things together thankfully so I just had to guess at which screws to use. So long story short... At least a half dozen screw holes (just for set screws) were not threaded... Ever try to thread a screw into a hole that's not threaded?? I'll remedy that by just getting some self tapping screws and build it firmly rather than using the set screws... The biggest issue is the one arm that holds the track for the steering wheel is blocked by the weld from the bracket on the underside of that arm... So it's blocking the way of the other arm that is supposed to go into it...I have no way of breaking that weld to clear a path...I am completely frustrated because without that, I can't put the steering wheel on it. If I were you, I would certainly look on another direction for something else... This can't be the only one that this has happened to... Quality control at this company is non existent!!! How can this many mistakes happen to one product of their is someone to make sure it's fine before packing!!! And it's too big and cumbersome to even try to return....I have never seen anything like this!!! I am very disgusted and frustrated! Do not buy this product!!! This company should be ashamed of the product that they are selling! ... show more

The picture is all you get to guide you. I don’t have the stand properly installed but I could not find any other logical way for it to work unless I did it the way I did. Poles with no holes to screw bolts in so I was left wondering if I was suppose to drill my own holes? I didn’t. Not sure why they couldn’t include written instructions. Would return if it wasn’t such a hassle to take apart and pack. Seems like it’s ready to collapse when i go to test it. ... show more
