  • Adult Tested, Kid Approved
Packaged well, works beautifully. It's easy to set up and lightweight, making it ideal for little hands to use on their own. The kids love it, and the view is beautiful through the lens. Calling it: great value for encouraging your budding little astronomer or astronaut, for which there is no price.

  • Very Nice Beginner's Telescope For the 2 Grandkids
I had to get this Thames & Kosmos Wow in The World Kids’ Telescope & Astronomy Kit, 25x & 50x Magnification, Adjustable 48” Tripod when I saw it pop-up on Amazon for our 2 young grandsons who are staying with us. First day they got here, they asked me if I have a telescope but I only had binoculars that they played with for a little bit during the day. But now with this telescope, we'll be able to view the night sky to see the stars that they're very excited about (they love the night light projector with stars and the galaxies for bedtime that we have here and at their house). It came with a tripod, a Star Wheel which is a great visual aid when we're stargazing with them, and also a colorful 10-page users manual. This is definitely a kid's beginner telescope--a good one to learn the basic mechanics of using a telescope before I spend a bit more money on a better one. With the binoculars that I had to assist them in focusing, this wasn't too bad with a protruding focus adjustment knob to make adjustments. At $26.74 when I ordered it, it brings excellent value as a beginner's telescope considering the cost and good functionality to get them used to using one for stargazing. ... show more

  • limiting
I got this telescope for my friends' kids as a gift and I set it up to try it out before gifting and the ability to see what it says it can is limited. It is easy to put together, but the images are not very clear. The focus isn't great... The best part of this kit is the star wheel.

  • Great
This scope is pretty cool. Takes some getting use to moving it around to catch the stars. You definitely need patience. I can only get the one lens to focuse more the the closer lens. I got a great look at the moon. Its hard to set it up in a spot to show someone else what you find. But the stand works lovely and has good height. I would say this would be great for 10 and up because you gotta be able to move it around and take your time. I loved using it and can't wait for a bright star night. The lighting around you can affect your view. But in a pitch dark sky you can have some great fun. It was so easy to set it up. I love it comes with a star chart and helps you realize the pattern of the sky. Even has a book full of details. ... show more

  • Honest Review
This telescope is alright, honestly had a hard time putting it together and overall just seemed a bit flimsy. It did come with plenty of information which is great and quick shipping.

  • Decent kid telescope
This is probably a good starter telescope, but with caveats. On one hand, I feel this is ideal for younger kids because it is easy to use, and not expensive. However, the focus isn’t great, which doesn’t work well for kids. It does have some high quality content that comes with it, as well as a nice aluminum tri pod. ... show more

  • Carefully crafted kids telescope and guide-superb!
This is THE COOLEST KIDS TELESCOPE EVER! It comes with a plastic wheel that shows you where in the sky the constellations will be depending on the month and the time of day/night. The thoughtfulness that went into preparing this educational tool- to make it so fun and engaging for kids- I am just thrilled and thankful. The quality of materials is superb for this level. Every lense has caps that fit well to help this last well past one child. The booklet of instructions goes way above and beyond to teach and guide the use of the telescope and I love that it encourages kids to pass it on to another curious kid once they've finished learning with it. I am so glad I have discovered this brand and plan to check out more of their stuff because it is clear that they care about quality and meaningful learning. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Can't wait to give this to my daughter as a Christmas gift and to pass it down to her younger siblings and onward. ... show more
