After assembling wardrobes in walk-in, the switch that controlled the plug got concealed behind the cabinets. This product provides perfect solution. My lights turn on automatically as soon as slide the door. I was considering alternate solutions -- Smart plug using Google/Alex routines with motion sensor (which I have in few places) but there is generally a 2-4 second lag form motion detection to actual switch turning on. This item works instantaneously and I don't have to deal with the Google/Alexa routines.

Wanted to have the cat fountain only run when someone was near, mostly just for the cat. This works handily, though the plug sticks out really far from the wall, so the cord sticks out quite a bit. If I moved it to a spot where the bowl was further away from the outlet, it might be a bit better. But our cat is quite skittish, so the water only running sometimes helped her get used to drinking from the fountain, instead of being scared by the noise of the pump. And also the water isn't running 24/7 driving me nuts. Install is a bit fidgety, the switches are only accessible if you open it up, so I was opening and closing it repeatedly until I had it tuned appropriately. Now that it's adjusted I haven't had to touch the settings ever again, though. The magnet mount for the sensor is really handy. I've been using this motion detector for two months now and I have nothing but good things to say. I've placed the sensor on a shelf in my basement, not even mounted, and it consistently triggers whenever I walk into my dark shop area. I have it set on Far Range (39 ft.) and a 10 min. timer. As others have mentioned, the 'mini' plug is quite large, but I'm using it with a power strip on a work bench so no issues. A little expensive ($22 July 2023) is my only complaint, but if you crave 'set it and forget it' tech this is the one to get.

I set this up in our garage and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. It is working as described and I've found it to be very useful. Overall, we're very happy with the Wothfav motion sensor with outlet. How we use it: We wanted a light in our garage that was very bright and that would stay on for 5-10 minutes and then turn off. We could have used our existing tube CFL lights and installed a light switch with a timer, or even a switch with a motion sensor. However, that would have been much more effort with possible down sides: 1. We didn't want just a timer because we want the light to stay on as long as we happen to be in the garage. 2. A switch with a motion sensor has a sensor located at the switch, which would not give us the opportunity to move the sensor to another part of the room if needed. We bought a very bright light which we hung from the garage ceiling and used the same outlet that that garage door motor is plugged into. We plugged the outlet part of this Wothfav set into our outlet and then plugged the bright light into it. The sensor, we just placed on top of our light switch box; we didn't even try to mount it. It works best when we turn it at an angle. If we find that it isn't picking up all of our motion, then we'll simply place it on a shelf. Voila! Now we had a very bright light that turns on when we enter the garage and then turns off in 10 minutes UNLESS we are still in the garage, in which case it will turn right back on. We set the timer for the longest time of 10 minutes and the motion sensor to its widest, most sensitive setting. We also set it to work in both darkness and light. The instructions are fairly clear, but, as with most instructions these days, you have to guess just a bit until you try it out. Note: 2AA batteries not included.
