This is nothing against the tool itself, which appears well made and suitable for my needs. As I already have other Worx products, I have other chargers... But really. Do better. The tool itself is actually pretty fun to use - it is sharp and cuts fantastic, is light and maneuverable. It makes short work of light duty around the house. Way better than the old B&D corded version that I used to have. I haven't had to charge the battery yet, seems to last pretty well. The only thing that I wish is if I could use it one-handed to reach further up or back... but due to the safety mechanisms you really do need two hands on the wheel at all times... that being said, given what it is and can do, that's not a bad policy. ... show more

If you need to mow down saplings and clear heavy brush, this unit isn't for you. But if you have average hedges and bushes to keep trim, you should be happy with this Worx trimmer. We bought this unit because we were so happy with their string trimmer and leaf blower. All three units use the same battery, so the two batteries that came with the "weed whacker" and leaf blower combination offer enough power to keep our yard in check on one charge (each). The hedge trimmer is light and easy to use. It uses a dual trigger system, which makes it hard to have an accident. You need both hands to keep it running. The forward trigger runs along three (inner) sides of the grip, allowing you to cut in almost any orientation. Operation is quiet and simple... and it made short work of our hedge and bushes. Admittedly, I cut any heavier stems (above 1/4" or so) in advance. But got nice, clean, even edges working on anything narrower. The battery is compatible with a variety of Worx tools. Which simplifies storage and eliminates clutter. So far, we're very happy with the performance. ... show more

Suggestion for anyone assembling this tool: The handle has a 2” or so long screw that needs to be unscrewed from the handle before the handle can be attached to the trimmer. The screw head is on the right side of the handle. The screw then needs to be reattached after the handle is in place. I am 73 years old and have maybe 30 minutes worth of energy available for doing trimming on any given day. This trimmer is perfect - lightweight! Plus it does a great job! WHY HAVE I WASTED MY LIFE WITHOUT A HEDGE TRIMMER?!? I have never owned a hedge trimmer. I have 5 acres of yard and woods. I mostly kept up the past 22 years with hand trimmers and tons of time, but fell behind the past two years because of injuries. The invasive honeysuckle, florabunda roses, blackberries, grapevines and forsythia have taken over. I decided a hedge trimmer was my last chance - researched and bought this one because it was lighter weight (I am female, 54, on the small side, not that strong) had two safety points, and got good reviews from a tech site. This thing is amazing. I am in love. My forsythia had overgrown about ten feet tall and five feet wide, with large grapevines growing through it and onto the pine trees beside. It cut through it like butter - even the large canes and thumb-wide grapevine stems. Cut it down to 4ft tall in minutes. Cuts through large honeysuckle in seconds. Overhanging branches? No problem. Evil overgrown invasive roses - not a scratch on me. I don't know what the people who say it gets stuck are trying to cut - anything larger than what I'm going through would be a sapling. Though it did manage a few tiny saplings with no problem. Used it about 90 minutes (stopping and starting to rake) and battery was only down a bar. Because you have to hold it in two places, I never felt like I was going to cut off fingers or slice through my leg. It was easy to get the blades to stop. The con: Even lightweight is heavy. After 90 minutes with lots of starts and stops my arms are limp. I could lift it over my head for minutes at a time - but I will not be reclaiming my land in one morning. I've spent years on the fence about getting one of these and wish I'd had one 20 years ago. And this one does everything a person with acres of invasive bushes needs to keep them under control. I can't speak to durability - but it was worth the price just to cut that forsythia down to size and get my treeline under control so I can mow. I highly recommend. ... show more

I'm always on the lookout for tools that make yard work easier and more enjoyable, and the WORX WG261.9 20V Power Share 22" Cordless Hedge Trimmer definitely fits the bill! I've been using it for the past few weeks, and I'm absolutely thrilled with its performance. Lightweight and Powerful: First off, this trimmer is surprisingly lightweight, especially considering its 22-inch blade length. I was able to maneuver it around my hedges and bushes with ease, even when reaching for those higher branches. No more struggling with heavy, corded trimmers that leave you feeling like you've just finished a workout! Despite its lightweight design, the WG261.9 packs a real punch. The 20V motor provides ample power for tackling even the thickest branches, and the dual-action blades make quick work of even the most overgrown hedges.
