    • I love this dual purpose saw!
Not that I do a ton of work any longer, but I often find myself starting a project that will require cutting wood or sometimes pvc pipe. I have an old corded jigsaw that I hate to bust out because that means I have to find an extension cord to use it and yet, for cutting a board for a job, it is the best tool for me. Not now! This saw's button turns it into a jigsaw in a nanosecond, adding the blade was so simple to do and with the charged battery slid into place, this little jigsaw cut through my board without a problem. These were not like really thick, heavy-duty boards, mind you - I had installed some L-brackets and needed the wood shelf for some extra storage. The shelving material was some scrap plywood I had - maybe 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick. I sanded the edges, painted the board and now have a nice shelf just where I needed it - all with the help of the jigsaw part of this tool. I figured while I was at it, I'd try the reciprocating saw part so pushed the button, changed the blade and cut a few wayward branches off a tree - none of them thick. Just suckers that would have decreased circulation in the tree and rubbed on other branches had they been allowed to grow. That's the nice part about this tool - with the battery I did not have to worry about where I was in the yard. A step stool and I'm able to cut the branches smooth against the trunk and when the tree is leafed out again, that area will be more open and look better. I am so pleased with the performance of this multi-tool and will be using it regularly. Excellent for those quick jobs I normally have around the house. ... show more
