Having been tattooed for over 50+ hours, I learned a few things and decided I wanted to touch up my existing sleeve and decided to start here. The ink is terrible, doesn’t stay well or apply as it’s true color, so just buy some better ink. This kit will get you started, no question. I am interested to see what a more expensive setup adds to the process. But this kit, albeit basic in design, possess the basic functions one needs to tattoo. Variable speeds, needle depth adjustment. For those of you who haven’t done your research (as I hadn’t AND have spent plenty of time being tattooed and didn’t know) a good depth to start is the thickness of a penny. My first attempt at a new tattoo (vs touching up my sleeve, I had scabs for weeks because I went way too deep. I’ve since then adjusted the needle depth, bought decent ink, I’m I’m really happy with this gun/setup. The pictures show where I touched up the blue and added green where there was just skin before (around the lotus) I’ve also picked up some Bloodline UV/black light ink, the stuff works, I’ll try and and a pic of that, too ... show more

I am a beginner tattoo artist and I bought this kit to practice at home. It came with everything that I needed and was very to use. The instructions were a little unclear but I just had to read it a few times to understand. You get your moneys worth. Gun & power supply are worth it caps and sports wrap nice addition. Disposable needles could be better. skin sucks and ink is not for human use.

The device itself is a good tattoo gun. The ink is only good for practice lines. All real tattoos made with this ink have faded or not stayed at all.
