Bought these for my Sister In Law when she moved into her first "all mine" place. I had bought the same set for my son when he did the same 2 years before. Lets be clear - these are not professional tools. The are home tools. If you are looking for professional tools and think these might be what you need, you need to think about a new profession. Plies, vice grips, adjustable wrench and pipe wrench. That covers about half of home tool needs. And these are all tools that if you need one, you really need one. Not many substitutes for a pipe wrench or vice grips. The hand grips are nice. You can use them without gloves even if you have soft skin. The adjustable wrench could be a little tighter but it is passable. Again, these are not professional tools! If you use any of them enough to break one, buy a high quality replacement. For $25 you are getting solid tools that you will probably only use 2-3 times a year. Thats an excellent value. Add a hammer, screwdrivers and put them in a bag. ... show more

I wish I had the cash to spend on bigger name brand tools right now, but I don't. These pliers are of serviceable quality: they aren't milled perfectly, but the teeth and joints fit into place well enough. They're good enough for light home applications (e.g. we needed to replace a showerhead), and they worked perfectly. Time will tell if they hold up, but I'm happy as of now. ... show more

    • LOTS OF UNMENTIONED LITTLE FEATURES
I have been using this set of tools for a couple of weeks, all my old tools being at the family farm.The vice grips have a built in heavy duty wire cutter. The wrench has a millimeter scale to preset sizes, the water pump pliers have large jaws but smaller handles which allows me to work in the tight space against the wall, under toilets and sinks. Finally the regular pliers a big enough for my hands and not like those kiddy sizes you normally get. The finish is not the greatest but the grip pads are comfortable and easy to degrease but all in all the value can't be beat. ... show more

The tools are ok. The wrench adjustment is small and loose. It makes it so you have to set it undersize then allow it to slide to where you want it. The pliers aren't bad but are loose, if you tighten the nut on the back they are a little better. Over time they will loosen. If I were going to recommend these tools I would say if you are going camping, or to have in the car just in case and don't care if they go missing. ... show more
