I've had this for a few years now. I bought it to restore a 20 year old, 20' boat with heavy oxidation. Multiple days of compounding/cutting and polishing. It does get very hot, but it never smoked or overheated. I never brought it above 3-4 for the speed, and I let the pads do the cutting. I did not lay into it when cutting or polishing. Since the initial restoration, i have just used it for maintenance of the finish and it excels in light use. I did not use the pads that came with it, so I'm not sure how they perform. Overall I am very happy with it and it performed as expected. I wouldn't use this for a professional detailing route, but it's great for the weekend DIYer.

I bought this 7-inch buffer expecting something cheap and basic, but wow—it performs like a pro tool at a fraction of the cost. I’ve used higher-end buffers before, and honestly, this one holds its own. It’s powerful, easy to control, and gets my car looking like it just left the shop. Best part? For what you pay, the results are incredible. It’s so good I ended up buffing everything: my car, the patio furniture, the fridge door... If it’s not shiny now, it’s next on the list. Simple to assemble. Variable speeds are nice. Trigger is less responsive than I’d like but for the price it’s still worth it. But OMG THE NOISE. I literally had to wear hearing protection and my wife could hear it inside our house.

The media could not be loaded. This buffer is so incredibly powerful! I had no idea that these could be this powerful and rotate this fast. It took me sometime to get used to and I love it. The surface of the different buffers are so large. The combination of these two things gets any job done in a lot less time than other devices. It really is so convenient and nice because it doesn't take much energy on my part to use either. It does all of the work for me! Although the cord could be a bit longer but it isn't anything an extension cord can't fix. It is easy to put together also. It is even easier to set-up and get working also. The instruction manual is easy to understand and follow, if needed.

If you buy this and it stops working or is defective and past 30 days, no help and no warranty. It's made you know where, so my bad luck for me. Buy one made here. ( you know what I mean) - Also, this buffer gets way too hot too fast. It most likely is what caused it to stop working. Anyway, they give me a service email that gets no response. Anyone that I can get in touch with, tells me there is nothing that they can do for me. Just an email address with no answer. (2 weeks and 3 emails later) - So NO WARRANTY !

The buffer seems well made but does get hot easily. Foam pads are good but the polishing pads seem cheap. The variable speed works well and the lock speed mechanism is good. If you are buffing out cars everyday as a business I wouldn't recommend this buffer. I think it would burn out. The reason for the 3 star review is after just light use the "hook and loop" cover that is affixed to the buffer that you attach the pads to, completely pulled off the main attachment pad when changing pads! Not the whole unit, just the "hook" part! Disappointing and frustrating! I spray glued it back on and we'll see how it holds up. I will update my review after some additional use.
