I bought these 4 years ago and after years of traveling through different states and countries, multiple national parks, thousands of trips to the beach, an ice storm with below zero temperatures, enduring 114°F (about 45°C) desert heat, and even swimming in the ocean after our kayak got flipped, these glasses finally broke because I accidentally threw them on the ground. Safe to say that these sunglasses went through a lot in order to break and have been very durable throughout my adventures. They're also stylish. Over the years I have received many compliments on them. I have already purchased another pair of Woodies since my glasses have broken. Not the same one (a cheaper pair that was having an Amazon Lighting Deal), but I am hoping to get just as many adventures out of them as my last pair.

Upon my first order the glasses had a small cosmetic issue, but I emailed "Pamela emploee of the year" and gave her a picture of the damage, and the order number, and received a brand new pair in 3 days. She also attached a picture of her dog so bounus points there. As for the product they look really good, and seem durable. They sit very comfortably on my head, and do everything sunglasses should. I havent tested the polarisation yet, as I am a fishing guy, but I have full fair that these will do the job as woodies has yet to let me down. 5 stars no question.

I bought these after I lost my first pair because I liked them so much! I think that the wood arms are very cool, and the price is reasonable. As someone who goes though sunglasses, Woodies are a great option for me because they are inexpensive, without sacrificing quality.

I didn't realize how HUGE these are. Now they come wonderfully packaged, they're durable, look amazing, fit so comfortably as well... GREAT spend. Totally worth it if you have a bigger face/head. I am a female and have an oval face, these made me look bug eyed. Still love them, still will bring them camping. But just a heads up for anyone wanting to wear them for stylish reasons.

So I've had these glasses for a while now and I wanted to test their longevity before writing a review. In the period of time that I've had them, they have fallen off the top of a moving car. I've dropped them 3 times while riding on a longboard at over 20 miles/hour. And as is the true crucible for every pair of glasses, they have been sat on. Falling from a car/longboard did nothing to them, didn't even leave a scratch. But after they were accidentally sat on they were completely bent out of shape. I literally bent these back into shape and they're like brand new all over again. Compared to my $200 Ray-Bans they easily hold their own. They are much more durable and the polarization is top notch. That isn't to say that these glasses are perfect. I have one main gripe with them and that is the plastic around the frame. The plastic has a gloss finish which is very annoying because it picks up oil/sweat from your face and requires cleaning at least as twice as often as sunglasses with matte frames. The plastic they use isn't even the cheap kind so it retains no micro scratches whatsoever after being wiped with a tissue. Woodies if you guys ever redesign these with a matte frame, I would LOVE to buy them again. Until then I can safely say I adore these just as much as any other pair of glasses I've owned, if not more. Also, I had the pleasure of interacting with Pamela (Woodies' Customer Service Rep) and I'm happy to report that too was a positive experience.

I have to be honest and tell you. I was a non believer in Woodies. That being said and without giving details.... Woodies customer service is responsive and stands up for and by the product. My opinion has changed 180 degrees. Let me tell you, you cant go wrong ordering from Woodies. The glasses are dark tinted (a little more than most). Great for the beach! The frames are very nice and well built. The temple hardware is spring loaded, made of real wood and they fit comfortably. The Bamboo wood case is very nice (and different) along with the carrying case, guitar pic and cleaning cloth. I'll be back to Woodies soon for more! Thank you Woodies ! You go above and beyond ! My first pair I had for about 4-5 years. I absolutely loved them. Great quality and tough lenses. I unfortunately lost them in the river while tubing, so I wasn’t hesitant to replace them with a second pair. The quality on the replacements aren’t nearly as good. The hinges aren’t as good (they seem to catch frequently when opening and closing) and the lenses are thin. I mean like they remind me of plastic Easter egg thickness. I had placed them in my fiancés purse during a wedding with nothing really sharp to speak of in her purse, when I got them out they had a pretty good scratch in the lens. As I was inspecting the lens to see if I could pop it out, I felt how thin the plastic lens really is now. If you’re looking for a cheaper pair of sunglasses to throw in the car, go for it. The wood earpieces make it nice as they won’t burn you if left in the sun. But if you’re looking for something with a durable lens, you may want to look elsewhere.
