My wife and I have a walk-in closet with a 9' ceiling. It's fairly compact for the two of us and so some things inevitably get stored on the upper shelves. This stool is a replacement for an all "wood" one that we bought a few years back that turned out to be largely particle board and which eventually fell apart. This one is solid wood and steel. It's easy to put together in a couple minutes with a cordless screw gun or a screwdriver. And it is stout without being heavy. Love it. Won't need to replace it, probably ever. ... show more

You can tell this stool offers good quality the moment you open the box, and once you put it together this step stool is even more impressive. This step stool offers incredible quality and stability which makes using this step to grab items in higher locations much easier and safer. Although it is not able to be put away as compactly as some of the other step stools on the market, I am willing to give away that convenience for the safety this step stool offers - plus it looks nice. ... show more
