  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Both of these work, the solar powered doesn't get a lot of power to drive like the remote one
This was Christmas present to my little brother, he's 8 almost 9 for age reference. He loves to build things and take them apart, as well as science things. He was able to put them together with some help for the remote. After the car and everything was put together, we discovered why the car wasn't working. There is a screw in the remote that the battery pack was over, which is easily fixed. Could also be dangerous if you don't know that batteries getting hot=bad. The battery pack just won't be on straight, but it will still be un seen if you just look at the front side (no odd overlapping). Other than that slight issue, everything worked perfectly fine and he was able to put them both together by himself for the most part. Also the solar powered car doesn't have as much power as the remote (obvious reasons) and can only go straight, but the remote car goes pretty fast, goes forward, straight, and can turn. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Would repurchase
It was difficult to separate the wooden pieces because they are so thick, once done though I think it will be very stable. Grandson loves it he likes to build things
