I picked this wooden sandbox up as a birthday present for my 3 year old and it has been a huge hit so far. I grabbed 14 bags of play sand from the local hardware store to get it topped off and that filled out the space perfectly. The wood quality itself is actually really nice since it has a great natural smell to it and looks sharp in the yard and considering the overall price point the value for the money is definitely there for a backyard project like this. As far as durability goes, the wood is solid but the hardware that comes with it is a bit of a weak point. A few of the included screws were way too small for the job and snapped off almost immediately during assembly so I ended up replacing them with some thicker heavy duty screws to make sure the table and bench areas would actually hold up to a toddler climbing on them. Once I swapped those out the sturdiness improved significantly. It is a great little setup that feels like it will last just be prepared to use some of your own hardware if you want it to feel truly secure.

It wasn't worth it for the price and I'm not sure how long it will hold up. It doesn't have a bottom, just the mesh that's sits in there (i made a bottom screen for it and stapled the mesh in). The picnic table does not fold in and out easily. I would recommend leaving it up so it doesn't get tore up going up and down. You also have to remove the side bar knobs in order for it to even go down, so I also ended up making a lid for it too so I could always keep the table up. I also added some extra reinforcements to it to try and make it last longer too. If you aren't wanting to put any work into making it last longer, I would go with another option. Also in the description it said cedar as the wood being used and it's definitely a cheap softwood like pine or poplar. Seeing that it was made with cedar was a selling point for me to help repel bugs and resist water damage, so I was unhappy about this too. I ended up making the lid out of cedar.
