Okay, my wife likes to have a fire in our woodburning stove when the weather gets cold and nasty, but I had my doubts about this fan and its claims, that is, until we used it for the first time and it worked like a charm, spreading the warmth through the front room where the stove is located. I watched it, just because I couldn't' believe how quiet it was, and it looks good sitting on top of the stove and will probably be a good conversation starter when we have company over. Nice, quality fan. Though the spin when wood stove is just starting to get hot, there is no breeze until the wood stove gets really hot. The hotter the stove, the faster the fans spin, which in turn pushes the air. I aim these little fans towards my floor tower fan. My tower fan then pushes the hot air throughout my upstairs. The little fans do push the air out into the living room...out to about 10 feet. They are whisper quiet. I don't hear a thing. ... show more

We took this out of our -4 F car and sat it on our wood burning stove with a low to moderate fire and both blades started turning in about 5 or 6 seconds. It moves the heat around very softly and quietly and is a wonderful addition to our new wood stove. Extremely happy with this.
