The mattress unrolled easily and didn't have a heavy chemical smell like other foam mattresses I've bought in the past. It was purchased with child use in mind but it's comfortable enough for an adult as well as both my wife and I have played in it and found it comfortable. It's a nice softness, not too firm but definitely not one of those mattresses that you just sink right into and disappear! I would definitely buy it again and recommend it.
