This is good quality wood grain refinishing tape that is made of PVC so very durable, and it's very easy to apply with good adhesion. They say it's for patching and repairs, but I would only use it for that if filling in very small spaces because it would otherwise be hard to get a perfect grain and color match. It is much more useful for applying a wood grain appearance to complete projects like pieces of furniture. We have a small antique bamboo table we use on our covered porch that has been in the family for years. It had become very worn and rather unsightly. So after getting newer walnut colored patio furniture and new cushions, the pale beat up table needed something. So I thought I would cover the top with the walnut wood grain tape, which gives it a sort of retro look, and then painted the legs, and it came out looking pretty cool. It was very easy to measure, cut, and smooth, as well as align each strip so you don't see the seams. It's a way better looking table now and coordinates really well with all the new furniture.

This is what is put on manufactured wood used in furniture. I have a piece for a doorway between two hard floors to see how it performs. It is no trip and no screws. It handles and applies easy enough and is plenty tacky. This could be a quick finish versus a weeks long procedure of staining and polyurethane and sanding.
