I bought these for lake paddling in my yaks where they reach out further to get more energy transference. Also, because they're designed for fishing with the notch in the paddle blade, you won't get a lot of water running down the handle as I do paddle all year round. Because they are longer in length, I do not recommend them for rapids paddling, you need a shorter length for that sort of paddling. ... show more

I was looking for length and versatility and received both. I have a outlaw kayak that sits me high above the water. I'm 6'1" and this paddle when expanded fully is perfectly long. There are 4 length settings and two angle settings. Great versatility Worth every penny
