I bought it thinking that jumping on the back would cause the frame to flex, but it's fully mechanical. The seat pushes down like a pressure plate, making the limbs move back and forth as the rider hops up and down on it. The wheels in each hoof are similar in make to the wheels on roller blades or scooters, and the handlebars and head turn to control the direction of the front wheels. It's a wide turn radius, and the wheels only go one way, so avoid areas with sharp turns or it might get stuck. Assembly was just bolting the head to the body, and took all of two minutes. Overall, very cool, sturdy looking, and exactly what I was hoping for. The first time my niece saw it, she had to run over and get on. She's still a little short for the model I bought, so she tipped it over accidentally and refused to try again for the rest of the evening. She's got all summer to keep trying though, and I can tell she's going to have a lot of fun on it once she does. ... show more
