Many reviews said to order a size up, and I must say this is the rare occasion tbat I agree. My sneakers are size 8.5 with a bit of room for comfort, but in this pair of boots in size 8.5, my big toe is right up against the front of the boot while wearing thin socks. It's not very comfortable, however, I am keeping them for this winter as my walk is limited to 0.5 mile/day. I would definitely be more comfortable in size 9 still wearing just regular thin socks or size 9.5 with thick socks. Also, they seem to have been made for a person with an average size calf muscles, not wide at all, I can only tuck in my leggings to be able to zip them up. They are definitely functional and warm enough for 13-20 degrees winter evenings in VA this winter. Not sure if they skid on ice, luckily, I didn't face the situation yet to test them. The booties have rather classic simple look. Cannot speak to the durability as I've only owned them for about a week but they came out of the packaging in decent shape and haven't fallen apart so far.     • The wettest "waterproof" boots I've ever owned

These boots leak straight through the soles. I tried spraying them with a waterproofing spray. They are so leaky it did nothing. I have spent this entire winter with wet feet, though I rarely walk through anything deeper than a packed, plowed sidewalk. It's so bad that I'm looking around for new boots even as winter is coming to a close. The fit is good for my wide feet and ankles. The styling is good. They're warm enough for my purposes when they're dry, but they're NEVER DRY. The are NOT winter boots. DO NOT BUY!!! ... show more
