This crop sweater is cut just below your breast, so that sort of limits what you can wear it with. It definitely looks weird with jeans or slacks. It would definitely work with the type of dress shown, or a fit n flare. You'll have an empire waist with whatever you wear it with. It's also very form fitting, so turning a button down into an empire waist short dress won't really work. It is cute, though, and very well made.
