I'm really glad I read the other reviews before I cut the straps off! They really look like they will not come off, but you can wiggle them off. The opening in the plastic doohickies that attach them to the bra/top is kind of hidden. Of course, there's no info that comes with the product (except what's on the tag). I TOTALLY recommend washing it before wearing it. I got mine today and will be wearing it in 5 days, so I decided to swish it around in a bucket of soapy water. When I emptied the bucket into my white sink, I was thoroughly disgusted. I was sorry I had even tried it on first. I am wearing it under an evening gown, and the dress did look better with it on. I'm 5'2" and 130 lbs, size 8 (sometimes 6) / medium. I'm sure this product would fit someone with a longer torso much better, but it fits me well. There is a closure in the center of the "panty" part, with 3 hook & eyes, right where you don't want anything but softness. I bet I end up letting that part just hang open when I wear this thing. I am hopeful, but we will see. I'll update after I wear it to the opera! UPDATE: Don’t try wearing it without the hook & eyes done.     • Beware of the Crotch Hooks!

Tried this on and had to go over my head so as not to accidentally rip it pulling it over my thighs/hips, and instead the back crotch hooks snagged in my hair!! It would be nice to have something to cover those up with in case you don't want to use those. I considered cutting them out, but in the end left them. I thought this actually did a really nice job holding things as intended. I was doing a lot of moving at the end of the event in it, and by the time I got home and was ready to take it off, it had slipped down far enough so that I almost popped out of the top (strapless), but for $36 I couldn't complain because it did what it needed to during the important event. A good replacement in a pinch - my go-to has always been my VS shaper. Will wear again as necessary! Still not sure on the crotch hooks though... ... show more

While it definitely holds up the melons while strapless, it does not hide the burrito baby.....at all. My gut looked no different in fit than out of it. Seriously, no tummy control at all. And the crotch strap is really difficult to attach. Ask a really close friend or relative to hook you in. TLDR: you will look like a misshapened, packed sausage but, the tatas will stand on their own. ... show more

I normally wear 36F/G bra so I was a little concerned about the sizing of this slip. I eneded up buying the 38D and i actually feel i should have gone smaller so... the size is weird i think. The slip feels nice. It shapes my body and makes me look better on a dress, without being supper tight and unconfortable. I dont normally like shapewear because i feel suffocated and this one is like a nice compromise: it doesnt feel suffocating, it shapes my body making me look better and its comfortable. The only con i saw is that the crotch snaps are hard to put on/off. ... show more

I loved this!! I have lost over 200 lbs and I deal with the dreaded loose skin and I had a skin tight dress to wear and it smoothed every wrinkle of skin I had out! I am also 6’ tall with a long torso so everything rides up and the hook and eye closure in the crotch area was so easy to open and close because it was very stretchy and snapped right back! But please measure yourself to get the right size. I did get one a little too big and it was my fault for not measuring myself. But it still did a great job!!!
