The desk came very well packaged and protected. you will notice the very high quality materials right out of the box. This surprised me for the small amount I paid for it, 165. Putting it together took one person about 1.5hrs with interruptions. The instructions were somewhat easy to follow. only issue I had was aligning the drive pole because you have to line up the hexagonal post and the two joining caps also have to line up with their respective end caps. You will have to look inside the end pieces to see what I mean and they fit like a glove. Overall, the setup was straightforward, the holes and screws lined up perfectly. The desk is heavy once together and difficult to maneuver through a door if you're by yourself.     • Great desk but really hard to assemble

Love this desk, but it took me alone almost 3 hours to put together and then only one side would go down. Recruited 2 other friends to help me solve the issue and another 2 hours later we figured it out. Directions are not very clear but once it is together it is a really great desk.

The media could not be loaded. i’m going to start by saying this if i had the time and energy to take apart and return it i would . i didn’t know it would be so many parts. i actually thought it was the wrong desk when i seen the package so i was discouraged from the beginning. the desk top comes in four pieces. it’s like 80 screws to this desk , alley ranch !! which leads me to the positive. don’t be fooled it is sturdy .everything lines up pretty good but not prefect .unnoticeable.next con: the instructions. they are a bit confusing. i have a thing for building and putting together things and this thing took me about 1 1/2 hours to put together .when putting this together when you get toward the end u have to connect the rod to the little motor for the desk to go up and down . make sure you have both legs all the way down ( in) before connecting them together . so you would place the rod in left leg and adjust it and then connect it to the motor on the right.it will not align on its own . so if it’s not aligned when you turn it on it’s going to break . luckily i caught it in time where it only broke the plastic white gasket. even after fixing it . it’s not prefectly leveled . unnoticeable but it’s there . overall it will do . lifetime of the product i’m not really sure but hopefully i’ll get lucky and get two years out it . i doubt it . if you purchase and amazon offer the insurance i would purchase it . ... show more

When I opened this product I was nervous because it is super heavy. BUT I put it together myself in about an hour and half. Don't let the hexagon screws intimidate you! These are the fanciest hexagon screws that actually hold on to the screw when ... well you are screwing. My apologies I didn't know how else to describe it. The instructions are very clear, and the pieces are clearly marked. Only trouble was getting the rod that makes it move up and down in place. Just plug it in and give it a millisecond of a crank to align correctly. You must follow the directions when it says not to tighten. These were the best instructions I have had in a long time. Super sturdy desk.. I have 2 monitors and a laptop and it fits perfect. I am struggling to submit at pic... I will try again later. Worth the price. ... show more

These type of desks can be 1000 dollars. So I took a chance on the cheaper one and it did not disappoint. Fairly sturdy, assembly was easy (alot of people in comments complaining about assembly, it is so easy) A certified chimp could put this together.
