Description

Not all bowls are the same. Therefore WMF offers a variety of kitchen bowls - for different ingredients and different methods of preparation. Mixing bowls with handle and stable standing ring are suitable for whipping cream or eggs, for example. The large, bulbous kitchen bowls on the other hand are ideal for stirring. For preparation with a hand blender, tall bowls with handles are ideal. In addition WMF offers bowls with a pouring rim which allows easy pouring without anything dripping. The WMF kitchen bowls are made of Cromargan 18/10 stainless steel, a material which is extremely stable and remains indestructible in use - for example with a mixer. All bowls are easy to clean, dishwasher-proof and therefore very hygienic. Whether as salad bowl, mixing bowl, serving bowl or water bath bowl - the bowls from this stainless steel bowl set are multifunctional, robust and stylish.

These are great. They're lightweight, like any cheaper stainless mixing bowl. They're a little more shallow than those, though, and have sealed bottoms on the rim. Most cheap ones just kind of fold over and crimp down, can get sharp with age, and also it's questionable how clean we really get them. These are a little more expensive, but I think it's worth it, especially for those of us who end up throwing out cheaper bowls because the crimped rim starts getting questionable after a decade. I'm knocking off a star, because I wish there was one more size in the middle. There's both a gap in nesting, and utility in the missing size. I prefer the shallower shape for mixing, but it does also limit the sorts of things you can do in a fuller bowl due to liquid dynamics. So I really wish there was that middle size for a variety of reasons. I have some heavy duty Hestans, too, but most often I want a nice lightweight bowl. These are considerably less expensive than those. It makes sense to have both, as these are more for cooking, while the Hestans more for baking in my kitchen. WMF makes great utensils, up there with Rosle. These are my go to for a reason, they rarely let me down. ... show more
