My kids love this. It ships as a small, heavy package but begins to expand upon opening. I tried to follow another reviewer’s tip and try to help the foam go into the arm rests and headrest, but I think it ultimately went on its own in time. It took about two days for it to fully expand and take shape. My kids love the fabric, as it is very soft. They find it comfortable. I have sat in it a couple of times too and think it’s comfy. I am not sure if bean bag is a term that doesn't translate or if the term is just loosely used now-a-days, but this is a foam block filled chair, not the bean bags of the 70's and 80's. With that said, it doesn't take away from the comfort and quality of the chair, but the firmness is of course much less than beans. Be prepared to work up a sweat when first opening the chair from the packaging. All of the foam blocks are stuck together and you need to "break" them apart as they all slowly un-shrink. Your goal is to get them all separated and fill in the backrest and arm rests properly. There is a zipper, but I do not recommend opening it, less you want to play a game of pick-up-thousands-of-tiny-foam-blocks. Rather feel through the material and break up the chunks of foam. Overall my daughter loves this chair (age 9) and says its super comfy. I don't think it would do well with a full sized (aka large) adult. Cheers. ... show more

this is one of the best bean bags i have purchased in the past, it comes super compressed and double packaged in a box. take your time safely unpacking it and let it expand for 48hrs, fluff the arms and backrest everyone and then, it's surprising how much it expands, it will expand as much as it shows on the pictures! give it time to expand before you fully use it. ... show more
