The cover fabric is soft to the touch and it seems fairly well constructed. It is not a "bean bag chair" in the traditional sense, the fill is dense memory foam (which is supportive and comfortable) - I think the reason they call it a bean bag chair is that it sits at the height you'd expect from a bean bag chair on the floor. I think this is much more comfy than a standard bean bag tho. It was vacuum packaged in several layers of plastic and contained in a fabric zip-up bag all in a heavyweight box. It quadrupled to its proper size in about 12 hours. The structure is sturdy enough to self support when sitting but if you lean back hard you may want to plan a space in front of a wall. One of the worst experiences of my life. I would not recommend purchasing from this company. The couch arrived damaged and it took forever to get them to give me a refund. We also bought 2 chairs from the same company and the both arrived damaged. The products themselves were damaged before shipping and there was no quality control. I really wanted to love this. I have two other different memory foam chairs from the same company that I do adore. The idea of a giant, plush memory foam bean bag chair in my living room sounded perfect for weekend lounging or movie nights. But the design doesn’t deliver. The front cushion detaches from the backrest, making it feel unstable every time I try to sit. Instead of sinking in and relaxing, I find myself adjusting and repositioning. The three-part construction with two removable pillows seems like a clever idea in theory. Too bad they don’t fit together smoothly. It ends up feeling like a clumsy jigsaw puzzle rather than an inviting seat. The proportions also feel off: short in length and awkward to stretch out on. It has potential with the soft fabric.
