We've had several sets of knives over the years - Cutco, Chicago Cutlery, Rada and Fiesta so I researched awhile when I was ready for a new set. I wanted handles that wouldn't come loose, I wanted knives that I could sharpen easily, wanted a nice block to store them within easy reach on the countertop, wanted knives that looked great and the block not deteriorating over time. I determined to never put them in the dishwasher. (Although already they've gone in a few times - but still look shiny, great and spot free). Anyway I put them on my wish list for awhile and still kept looking for recommendations - so glad I went ahead and got them. They check every box on my criteria. Warning - they are SHARP! The first time I sued the serrated knife - cutting a fresh loaf of sourdough bread - I nearly sliced off the tip of a finger! Now I am careful to keep my fingers back from the blade! :D ... show more

These knives are a lot better than I expected. They are very sharp. I forgot to mention to my husband not to use them on hard surfaces and he put slices into our counter top. I would recommend. Very nice looking.

My kids did the test and it cut a piece of paper while holding it. Thinly sliced tomatoes You name it, these are a great value!!!

I hesitated for a long time to buy a knife set because some of them just look really cheap and some can be very expensive. I was looking for neither. Just something of quality to get the job done. The knifes don’t sit even/level with each other. For some that’s not a huge deal but it is really driving me crazy, especially for a $140 knife set. They also seem very light which is the opposite of what you’d expect from these. Time will tell how well these do, but the block and scissors do look decent. ... show more

The one-piece metal construction makes the knives strong. They are nice and hefty. They cut well. The two-piece knives that we have owned eventually break apart.
