You can fit a lot in this backpack. I head to the airport monthly for a 3-day flight trip with just this. I can just fit my dirty construction boots and hard hat in the bottom, where they are separate from my clean clothes, which all fit nicely in the main area with my 2 laptops, their big batteries, and an extra pair of shoes. The liner separating the main and bottom compartments is versatile, allowing more up top or on bottom. There is plenty of space in the top zipper flap for toilet articles, and my essentials I want close at hand all day fit into the roomy front and side pockets. I can fit my larger kindle in the front or top zipper pockets and not take up anywhere near the entire pocket, and it fits into the open (deep) side pockets. The fabric is very durable, and I have had no difficulty with the zippers (though the top hidden zipper pull can sometimes be hard to get at). Quality is great, straps are comfortable and very adjustable, and the bag has a cool look to it that I love. I also love all the clips and straps (great for a rolled up blanket or jacket). I even fit my pre-packed daypack and hiking shoes in there once—along with all my usuals (minus the hard hat, I think). However, it isn’t quite perfect: it’s really a 4-1/2 star bag, but I can be a picky over packer who is searching for “the perfect travel backpack”—“for me”—and this is still above its competition. The side pockets are difficult to get your fingers in and out of, especially the zipper pockets—especially if the inside of the bag is packed to its limit. More elastic fabric at the openings to these pockets would be a design improvement—but as they are, you don’t have to worry about things falling out of the open-top side pockets (just keep soft fabric near these areas in the inside compartment, and you can get a water bottle in and out easily enough; get something hard like a laptop battery behind there and it’s hard to use these pockets. Also, if the backpack is full, it does not fit into the smaller plane overhead bins, and it takes up the entire area under a seat—the flight attendants are not fond of it but haven’t hassled me, yet. If you are not flying, it’s great.

This is a very well made bag, and it holds so much. I was able to fit about a weeks worth of clothing in it as well my tech gadgets and toiletries. I use it to travel and in my every day life. There are plenty of pockets/compartments, as well as a laptop sleeve. Works as a carry on when flying and is comfortable to wear, even when fully packed. I’ve even used it to carry groceries home from the store. Great bag!

Great backpack! I was able to travel with this backpack for 6 weeks throughout Europe. I brought 3 pairs of shoes (wore 1 obviously) and even my laptop. So much more space in here than I thought. (I am however a smaller person - I'm 5'2 and 115lbs so my clothing is on the smaller side). I packed a swim suit, 2 pair of shorts, 1 jeans, 2 sports bras, 2 T-shirts, a long dress, a thin cardigan, a raincoat, a plaid shirt, 2 pair of leggings, and a toiletry bag. + socks/underwear. I even had extra room for some souvenirs included an extra sweatshirt. Highly recommend this bag!

Perfect straps and fabric. It is stain resistant. I have used that backpack intensely, with a lot of weight, and I would say that I don't care where I put it, since I have traveled a lot, and I really put it anywhere. I'm returning from a long trip, and it looks like I just bought it.

it looks nice as a backpack. They need to loose the whole duffel bag attempt. As a duffel bag, it looks and feels cheap. It hangs wrong and the strap (new) looks like it was found at a second-hand or yard sale. If you try to tuck in the backpack-straps for duffel use, they stick out badly and straps hang everywhere. The material of the shoulder-strap looks old, faded and feels worn. The only plastic clips are on the duffel shoulder-strap ends, which are so weak, they might break if I put anything in the bag. But as a back-pack, its very sharp. Good look. Seems to be good quality. All the clips on the pack are good quality and metal. The sippers are sown well and good quality metal. I have not used it for travel yet, but I like the set-up. The compartments should work really well for me. I like the shoe compartment in the bottom to keep the dirt separate from the main compartment.

When I got this bag, I was actually impressed with it. It’s well made with good stitching. I’ve had the bags for six months and there’s nothing wrong with it. The downside? The compartment on the bottom of the bag with a zipper enclosure. The compartment came unzipped somehow, and I lost a pair of pants! Something to keep an eye on if you purchase this…

First off - This is a great backpack. Its canvas is durable all the pockets are good. the metal clips and stuff look good but my problem was in the actual function I guess. The laptop compartment rests against your back which is fine but the sleeve only goes down to where the main compartment ends and the lower shoe compartment begins. Here is the problem, the only thing separating these compartments is a very thin tent like fabric. This alone wouldn't be a big issue but the separator is designed to fill or expand into the bottom shoe compartment creating a lack of separation when packed. if you have stuff in the bottom and in the main compartment and set he bag down it will push the stuff in the main up and out the top of the bag. If you use the main and let it expand into the bottom area it has no form and everything doesn't stay in place. I cut the liner out and can access the main from the bottom. not a good choice as it doesn't remedy the issue. I wish the compartments were separated with canvas and not expandable into the other compartment. also wish the laptop sleeve was deeper, my laptop sticks out the top about an inch. It is a good bag but I feel it wont be right for me without more modifications.
