I had to return the first order, being the included instructions was in such small print and not written with clear directions, I was unable to get the item to sync with my network. I called tech support and unfortunately they were no help at all. I returned the first system and received a 2nd system to which provided a much better experience in setup and installation. The instructions were very different than what I received initially in the 1st package. These instructions were clear and very easy to follow. I had the base unit connected to my network within just a few minutes. Once connected, the external sensors were also easy the link to the base unit, using the app I downloaded to my phone. There's still some features I haven't been able to activate, yet being I just haven't taken the time to program. Has of now, I use the included remote to turn on and off the system. It's a very basic system. The motion sensor is responsive. I found it's best used when at home, while sleeping to alert if someone that shouldn't be in my home. Overall, I do like this system, but it does have limitations...

This DIY home alarm system is pretty decent, the alarm was really easy to install and fairly easy to setup, the manual is pretty much straight forward and easy to read, the system came with 10 door or window sensors, 2 motion detection sensors and 4 keyfob like remote controls, the system works really well, I had no issues with any of the sensors after installing them and pairing them to the control panel, the contral panel is also easy to use and the alarm on the control panel is super loud, I have a pretty good sized home and I can easily hear the alarm when I am clear on the other side of my house, all of the sensors are wireless with a built-in battery, the control panel on the other hand does need to be plugged in to an power source, it does have a built-in battery but its only used in case of a power outage, they do included a USB power cord and the power brick, the power cord could be a bit longer though, I did end up having to use a USB extension cord in order to reach the nearest plug, one of the features that I really like is that the system has wifi and works via the Smart Life App, so the alarm will send a push notification to your cellphone phone if the alarm is triggered, you can also arm and disarm the alarm through the app, all in all I am pretty happy with this alarm system, It is definetly not a high-end professional alarm system, but for a DIY low cost system it works, so in my opinion it's a pretty good value for the price.

I don't have an extra SIM card to test this unit with a 4G network, but I am sure it should work just fine, having been testing this unit using my WIFI network along with the downloaded Smart Home App. I have used this app for another device in the past, so there was no need to create a new account, or you can use a Guest account without signing up. It's free to sign up with your email. They do offer other services within the App for a fee. I think it's about $19.99 per month for a phone notification service if you do not want to use your own SIM card. I just use my Wifi network and it's good enough for my needs for now. I still get the same alerts away from home if the alarm is set and triggered, provided that my network is up or online. This kit comes with 10 magnetic sensors and 2 motion sensors, so that is more than enough to set up for my home to use. The 4 remotes are also nice to have for each family member if needed, but I just use the APP to control my alarm along with the keypad. or controller. The magnetic sensors and motion sensors are very similar to other alarm systems; it's just a matter of finding the good locations to place them so that the whole house is covered. Those magnetic sensors are operated by a CR 2032 button battery, and the motion sensors will need 2 AAA batteries; all are included as shown in the attached pictures. It may look a little complicated staring at the thick User's Guide initially, but once you know how to set up or link the first sensor to the keypad and App, it's pretty easy from there. Basically, just download the App, connect the keypad to a USB-C power cable, and connect/link those sensors using the Set button and a sequence of numbers (6666 + #...). Then, from the App, you can set which sensor to trigger the alarm notification in a certain mode (Away, Home, or 24-Hour Active). For example, I set my front door to be active 24 hours so that every time the front door is opened, I will get a notification on my phone from the App. The only thing I'm not a fan of is having to clear or reset the alarm each time it's triggered before I get the next notification. The siren from the keypad or controller is quite loud, but you can turn it off or use Silence Mode. However, I still can't find a way to silence the notification sound from the APP on my phone every time an alarm is triggered. I have to click on the notification pop-up on my phone to silence the ringer. I guess that is good in a way, when you really have an intruder trying to get into the house :). There are quite a few different ways to set up these sensors to trigger in a certain mode; you just have to find the best way to suit your needs. The bottom line is these sensors will trigger the alarm once set up properly, or the way you want them to work; it's a more affordable way compared with those monthly services. This is not the best alarm system by any means, but I do feel better having this system in my house rather than having no alarm system at all. I am thinking of adding s SIM card to this unit to beef it up down the line soon. Hope this helps!

This security kit showed up exactly as pictured and (the packaging was actually nicely branded and presented, not just tossed in a plain bag like some random no-name gadget). Everything came intact, nothing broken or defective, which I really appreciate. I’ll admit, with such a random brand name I didn’t know what to expect, but so far, it’s been working smoothly. Setup was simple, I had it all installed in under half an hour using the included tape and screws. The sensors are lightweight but feel sturdy, and the hub connects reliably with both WiFi and 4G, which is nice for extra reassurance if one signal drops. The app alerts come through fast, and it’s easy to keep track of what’s going on whether I’m home or away. It’s also compatible with Alexa, which makes arming/disarming super convenient. Coverage is solid, doors, windows, and motion detection all work as expected. Just make sure to place the sensors strategically for the best results. Overall, it's loud and t’s been easy to manage, dependable, and gives me peace of mind without monthly fees or hidden costs. Definitely glad I gave it a shot.
