    • Buy Extra Mounting Tape
These alarms are VERY loud which is great, and they're easy to install EXCEPT for one thing...... If the window/door is flush with the frame it's a snap to install. I did 12 windows in about 5 minutes. However, I had to put these on 6 different exterior doors. Since one piece goes on the frame, and the other piece goes on the door there is a problem. My door frames are not flush with the wall. I think very few doors are. So I had to use extra mounting tape to make them even with each other. I'm not talking about an extra layer, I'm talking about close to a full INCH. Luckily I had a large roll of permanent outdoor mounting tape already, which I ended up using for everything and not using their mounting pads at all. Another issue with their mounting pads is if you remove it from the frame of your door or window it takes paint with it. The outdoor mounting tape is more reliable PLUS you can remove it with no damage to the surface. I bought the Scotch brand. Other than that I'm pleased and feel much safer now. I put them on every door and window in the house. Just know that you're probably going to have to modify one of the pieces when you install them on regular doors. ... show more

    • Good cheap burglar alarm. Useless door close warning
The door close warning mode has no delay at all. The alarm starts going off immediately when you open the door. This mode is supposed to help when you forget to close the door. Not go off immediately.

We were able to hear the alarm at the other end if the house. We use it to alert the caregivers , it doesn’t seem to bother our lady but atleast they know if she’s on the move. My friend used them for her autistic son and he would immediately shut the door worked to deter him from exiting the home

I bought two packs of these. The alarms keep falling of the windows and going off. The first time, I was not home and my neighbor had to listen to the alarm for hours. The second time I was luckily home. If you can, buy a different brand that offers reliability. Edit, a third one fell when I was not home. I do not recommend this product. ... show more
