  • Very good quality I think for the price and worth it. With one caveat.
Color: Black Size: Small
This is the second one I have bought. I love these as far as the quality and the build. And they are durable, the charge last forever, and so far they stay in well when I run, and the sweat doesn’t seem to bother them too much. Don’t expect huge $200 sound from them, you get what you pay for. But for the price, I have no complaints. I am not a sound connoisseur or picky, but that being said, I also don’t like the really cheap thin “tinny” sound earbuds that are really cheap. These are not those. The sound is good. It’s loud enough for me. Some of the earbuds now have the limiter effect and you can’t really get it high enough to be satisfying, but these seem to have a good all over round sound, a full sound, and a high enough volume that they actually sound good. I think they deliver pretty good base and trouble and a balanced way. Like I said, if you’re looking for $200 sound, these are probably not the way to go. But I think for the price, they deliver really good adequate, and quite frankly very good high-quality sound. The only problem I’ve had with this brand is that sooner or later as you’re charging them, one of the earbuds will end up losing connection and not charging properly. After a while, you end up having one that charges and one that doesn’t so one earbud will eventually go bad. I’ve had to replace these when that happens. I’m on my third one now. But again, for the price I am not complaining. I end up getting a couple years out of each pair at least and for 30 bucks, for me it’s worth it. I’d still have to buy six or seven pairs before I have these $200 pairs and those don’t last 12 years, so you do the math. ... show more

  • Solid sound quality and easy pairing...
Color: Black Size: Small
These are some of the better earbuds I have used to date. Configuration was simple - open the case and pair from your phone. After that, as soon as an earbud is removed from the case they instantly connect and begin working. Excellent sound quality - maybe it's not 'incredible' by some standards, but for my everyday listening they work perfectly well. The waterproofing is a nice feature, and the touch controls work as expected. I started using them for my YMCA workouts and they stay put in my ears during exercise perfectly. These are a great value for the money spent - I would reorder these if they were lost or damaged. ... show more

  • Very impressive earbuds from a company who's products I already love.
Color: Black Size: Small
Update 1: Well I have used these for a bit and I really am trying to NOT LET my prior experience (all positive) with Tribit effect my judgement. I still have the "the wingtips hurt sometimes in the high humidity/hot temps after about an hour or so walk" issue but like i said at that point that they start to hurt I am almost done and A) "taking the wingtip off for the rest of the walk" or B) just taking the bud out for a few ... say 30 seconds or so and rubbing my ear" and putting the bud with the wingtip still on back in .. solves that "issue" in both cases. A few times in more "comfortable conditions" (not a tripe digit heat index) ... i went out almost a little longer and i never had that "wingtip hurts after long usage" problem. One last thing on this ... i'd say "it feels a little sore" ... not like a bad pain or anything to go overboard. Sound is another issue .... I cant recall the setting but on my first pair (forshadowing) I had "Tribit signature sound" or something like that set apparently ... i couldn't tell (I go into details below of what happened and what i tried) if the Lows (bass) were too high or the mids and highs (righter most side of an EQ) were "too low" ... it almost to a point sounded more "muffled" then expected. TL/DR here i lowered a few of the bass sliders and raised a few of the high-mids/high sliders and BOY does it sound better. I hate to sound like i dont like some of the other buds I have like the TOZO NC2's which sound great too ...l but along with my Lavabean earbuds (I dont think they are sold anymore) ... these Flybud 3's maybe my favorites ... they dont sound as wide as the Lavabeans but that is not a bad thing. Everything is right where i like it and ... these have become one of my favorites. One thing I will say is I had the case slip out of my hands one day and it bounced a time or two down my driveway/sidewalk ... it now has some dings on it but after using these for a bit since then .... nothing fell apart and everything still works. As far as that forshadowing ... I admit the regular price of these are pretty good but I have gotten "used -very good" type condition Flybud3s from Tribit's parent company here on Amazon... sometimes at say 60% of the price (like i see a sale on these new at $32 ... "used like new" is $24) .... I now have three pair of Flybud 3s ... two of which I took a chance on and got used for (both pair each ... ) for the rough total of say $17.50 for either pair.... a STEAL at that price. Sometimes at sub $20 you "get what you pay for" OR get a good product (say some earfun or TOZO lower end offering) but you sacrifice on say battery life or other features. I still HAVEN'T tested the charging on these though ... say "charging up my phone in a pinch just to make a phone call" in an emergency type thing I get why these are a "recommended" product ... I really do now ------------------------------------------------------------------ TLDR, I totally recommend these, even if they are not “perfect” … and there are not many “cons” .. some just more “here is where I’d like to see a change or improvement” rather than a so-called “negative”. I have far more bluetooth devices, than I ever thought I’d have and it’s gotten to the point if I listed them in reviews, like I used to it’d just take up too much room and too much time for people to read, but know while I have a few brands I trust … Tribit, TOZO and Earfun are my top three. I have not always had issues with Tribit products, but the off chance I do, they have always gone above and beyond to take care of things. -------------------------------- My initial thoughts (note: things have changed … for the better) I liked them (and I ADMIT I got these used-very good, if I recall) but with what I think was a “default” (not a typical V-shaped EQ, looking at the app) … well I couldn’t put my finger on it but it was either A) The .. I want to say midbass (the boomy bass you “can feel” in some devices) was either too high or B) the high mids and highs were too low… they didn’t sound terrible but they sort of sounded like a worse (what I just said sound profile wise) version of the Tribit XSound Gos I have … they sound good just like these Flybud 3s but .. .a tad on the “boomy” side. I could live with that but, like I said .. things have changed. (typing this a few weeks after my initial thoughts) I THINK I was wishing is that the case was a little more sturdy in the hinge but really this hasn’t been an issue, and I have had far worse (even if they don’t break, a pair of Tagry earbud’s case and my only SoundPeats case seems like they‘d break even if it was a light fall onto say carpet) ----------------------------------------- Change in the sound: I did some testing in my Sansa MP3 player using Rockbox (note: with ALL earbuds I review, I generally have a “V-shaped EQ” on top of whatever the earbuds sound like .. just to be clear/fair) and pulling the bass back a tad and upping the high mids and highs, they sounded better .. STILL the same profile of a little too boomy but ALOT better than what it was. I then tweaked the EQ on the player back to where I had it before, and then went into Tribit’s app and on the Flybuds themselves sort of did the same thing with pulling a few of the bass sliders down from that “default” (I think) EQ and bumping UP the high end. These sound SO MUCH better now. With that default sound I heard there seemed to be a lack of clarity in the mids and highs with that extra bass … now it sound a lot more in the range I like and the more I use these sound “profile” wise, the more I like them. Everyone likes different things, sound wise but I will say if these don’t sound exactly like you want, go into the GREAT APP (one of the best in my view really) and play with the EQ with more bands than I expected really and dial them into where you like the sound to be. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Pro: - The Sound: without going over the same things I already said the sound is a plus .. sure some audiophiles may not like the sound of earbuds in this price range but when dialed in .. these can sound balanced, and still have boomy bass and decent mids and highs. I have heard speakers, headphones or earbuds that sometime can sound “lopsided” EQ wise but these are pretty darn good and “EQ’able” - The wingtips: Other than a VERY specific use case and only during some times and ironically in certain conditions with my right ear ONLY after … an hour or more of use (that is a heck of a sentence, eh?) .. .The wingtips are a pro and unlike other earbuds like my Tagry’s that just feel so much better without wingtips on either bud, The Flybuds 3 wingtips and just how they feel with the buds themselves IS a pro to me. I don’t run .. I don’t .. but I could totally see people running or doing exercises with these and unlike some earbuds if doing intense stuff.. these just feel like they WOULDN’T fall out in those cases .. .very snug and comfortable unless maybe wearing for a LONG period of time. IF wearing for a few hours, I have to admit I may get ear fatigue with ANY earbud. - Build Quality – While I thought (and maybe I still do I am not 100% sure) the hinge on the case COULD BE “a little beefier” … “a little more sturdy” … even with initial impressions, as always with Tribit products, they seem well made and not on the “cheap” (quality) side no matter the fact that some are on the cheapER (price) side compared to some more expensive earbuds. This is just one overall reason Tribit has won me over, and the quality like I said is no different in these Flybud 3s versus other Tribit products. Well done, Tribit. - Battery life – Oh boy … I do admit I have only had to charge these once with constant use and I HAVE NOT tried the “power bank” feature, but unlike the “100+ hour” Tagrys and ones I LOVE ..I forgot the exact model (not sold anymore to my knowledge) .. my “100+ hour” Lavabeans, these seem to actually last that long or at least more in that range. The Tagry’s I have go from 50% on the case to zero in no time (almost instantly) ONCE the case charge number hits about 50% … it’s normal UNTIL that level but it’s far from what it was advertised at … I got those for $20 so I can forgive that issue and to be fair to Tagry … they last a long time from 100% to 50% on the case. My Lavabeans have a similar issue desptie being one of my favorite brand/models that I own. These do the same thing when the case charge number hits ABOUT 30% or so. Not Idea, but with the way the Lavabeans sound … I am FAR more forgiven than even the Tagry’s This is a hard thing to judge for now, since like I said I only had to charge these once since I got them, and at times I thought the case charge at “3 out of 4” dots was a bug since it seemed “stuck” there (it was just the battery ACTUALLY lasting that long and being totally fine) … but wow I am impressed with the battery life. The App: - I have to say there MAYBE equal apps in terms of quality and what it gives you control over and how it functions… I DO recall it asking me for my location (what others have complained about) but without giving it access and opening and closing the app a time or two I think it opened and functioned normal, anyway, and I do have a firewall on my phone blocking anything I don’t totally allow. I am not a fan of this but …to be fair I do not remember of say Oontz’s, Soundcore’s, or .. Earfun (they have an app?)’ s apps ask for the same permissions … I really can’t Overall I feel this is a well done app and better then some others I have seen. I don’t want to go into all the details but after wishing Tribit had an app for awhile, I have to say well done, to the programmers of this app. My only “issue” is that I wish my Tribit Xfree Go’s from years back had app support so I could dial in the sound (same general INITIAL impressions of the Flybuds .. just a pinch too on the boomy side) ------------------------------------------------------ Cons/Things that are no big deal or very specific to a certain use-case: - The wingtips: This is a pro and a con and really … I have to just explain my specific use-case when the “issue” happens. It’s somehow USUALLY only in my right ear but I have had it happen in my left ear too. Before I go on, I want to say that for some reason I don’t like Tagry’s (another brand with a model that has wingtips) wingtips on those earbuds.. I don’t want to say they “hurt” but they just feel a lot better without them. The wingtips on these give me ear fatigue (I don’t want to say they “hurt” really but just … say a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10, and just taking that one out for a moment or so and rubbing my ear, solves that issue and I can wear them again. The thing is it’s been VERY humid and hot since early May (it’s late June now) and only on humid days and specific MAINLY to my right ear AFTER AN HOUR of wearing them for a walk in the hot sun, does the issue happen and really when it starts … I am mostly done with the walk anyway so it’s a sort of “issue/non-issue” anymore. There has been 2 or 3 day of hot temps but lower humidity and even during the same distance walks … the issue even in my right ear doesn’t happen … maybe TMI there but its a very specific use case and again a “2” on a scale of 1 to 10 and really a few moments of taking them out, solves the issue. The OTHER OBVIOUS question is “well … do you take the wingtip off even if just on the right earbuds when this happens?” … no I do not since I am almost done anyway… TAKING THE WINGTIP OFF would be the other obvious solution, for the ear fatigue. TO BE CLEAR, The issue is not in the eartip in my ear canal, but right where the wingtip is sitting … it sort of “gets a little sore” when the issue happens. The eartips that were “default” when I opened the package feel great and are a-ok even when the wingtip in my right ear starts “causing the issue”. ------------------------------------------------ I am not say these are perfect, though unlike some products in various categories that have me questions “why do these have so many really high reviews?.. this is ‘ok’ at best” or “why is this an Amazon best-seller?”… after using these for a bit and despite the bassier sound I sort of like them in the first place, but liked them even more after more use… I can say I get why these are rated so high. ... show more
