    • Extremely comfortable with great sound
I just received these this afternoon. Like most people, I don’t always read or check the instructions first. Hey, they’re Bluetooth headphones, how hard can they be to operate? The first thing I checked was to make sure they were charged. Then I began searching for the earbuds to ensure I was using the smaller earpieces. I couldn’t find them, so I took everything out of the box. Still…no earpieces. What the heck? I looked closely at the earphones and then realized that there were no earpieces. Anyone who knows me knows how much I hate having things in my ear canal. So, I often either use the largest earpieces, which remain somewhat out of the ear, but can lead to noise leakage, or I use the smaller earpieces, which seem to be the only ones that fit properly, although with most earbuds, they can become annoying and painful at times. Well, now I’m confused, because if there are no earpieces, how can I expect the N18s to stay in? To my surprise, they stayed in rather easily. The very first thing I noticed was how light and comfortable they were. The lack of a rubber earpiece lessens the weight of the ear pods. I have been playing them nonstop for the past couple of hours and forgot that they were in my ears. That’s how lightweight and comfortable they were. I was glad to see that these also have wireless charging, which is almost a requirement of most electronics now with the advent of chargers that have the capability to charge your phone, watch, and earbuds at the same time. I love the fact that the earbud case has a visual LED display to show charging levels. It’s odd to see such a nice feature on the cheaper earbuds while noticing that the over $100 models simply leave that out for some strange reason. In addition, the case is small and compact, and can easily fit in your pocket. I have a few songs that I typically use to test the sound quality of earphones. Songs like Blue in Green by Miles Davis, because the instrument clarity comes through with a good set of headphones, Giant Steps by John Coltrane, demonstrates how well it picks up the transitions of the sax changes, and the background of piano, bass, and drums. For treble, I listened to Prince’s Dolphin guitar solo. The N18s produced a crisp and clear sound, which surprised me because it sounded just as good as it did on my Samsung Buds 2 Pro, without the annoyance of having the earpieces in my ear. For bass, I listened to A Tribe Called Quest, and the bass was full and rich, and not overly produced like many of the Apple ear pods are, which can often give me a headache. I made a few work calls and could hear the speaker without any issues. Also, the caller had no issues hearing me and thought I was talking directly into the phone. I must give it up for the N18 earbuds. They are a great buy. For the price, this is a great set of earbuds. The sounds were better than I expected. But the comfort was probably the best I’ve had in any set of earbuds. I typically change earbuds frequently as some sets can be uncomfortable. I feel like I can wear these until the batteries wear out. They were so comfortable that I went outside to check the mail and didn’t even realize that I still had them in my ear. I would highly suggest the N18 earbuds. The comfort of them is a wonderful addition to a product with a great sound. ... show more
