This guitar sounded pretty right out of the box..even without tuning.came with 2 plectrums and no additional strings.got a metronome plus tuner.i liked it.the size is perfect for the beginner dont have to stretch ur hand too much.light weight easy to carrry the green rustic is great for the eyes.also the string is well placed and easy to see it does not get lost in the bg color of the guitar great starter for new as well as experienced but for beginners surely good. The only thing the box came without any secure string tied.guess packaging error but no damage.also the guitar bag was good light and simple.i think worth the money writing this as i am opening the box ... show more

    • A cheap, fun little guitar

I got exactly what I expected with this guitar. It is a cheap (both in price and in fit and finish) guitar that has a fun pleasant quality. My guitar arrived with mediocre action but with seriously sharp, poorly dressed fret ends (could not have been much worse if someone had glued razor blades to the edges of the fingerboard). A fret dressing file and some sand paper fixed that right up. After a few hours of play, I noticed some fret buzz on the B string. I discovered the cheap plastic saddle had a grove worn into it. I took this as an excuse to replace the nut, saddle (both with bone) and the strings (with some extra light d’addario’s). Now I have a fun parlor guitar which I pick up and play several times a day. Should you expect this to be a perfect, high quality, great sounding guitar? Nope. The tone isn’t that impressive, the low end is underwhelming and it has little volume. But that is not the point of this guitar. It is meant to be a fun, affordable little guitar that you can strum around the camp fire or play on the couch. ... show more

As a beginner I didnt know about ordering a guitar at all. A lot of research later and I am so pleased with this little guitar. The size made it easier for my hands to reach the chords. It sounds beautifully deep and clear and the color and craftsmanship are superb.

So I had a coworker, whose basically a guitar guru, check out the guitar that I purchased. He was shocked at how well it played and sounded. The neck was straight, with just enough curvature to allow for good action. The bridge was fixed not lose. One thing he mentioned was to always have smaller strings, as he suspects that smaller strings are what is allowing for the guitar to have a pleasant sound and intonation. ... show more

the guitar itself is fine, basic entry level good quality for the price. biggest problem I had is it came with none of the promised accessories apart from the bag: strap, tuner, picks, free lessons: all of that was missing. I couldn't get just those shipped, I was asked to send the whole thing back and get a refund so I could rebuy (at which point the price had gone up!). package was not securely closed, so I'm not sure if it didn't get put into the box from the start or if it came out sometime during the journey; but not too thrilled about the missing things. ... show more
