The guitar is very nice and well-sized for our 8-year-old. The problem is that the frets on both sides are sharp and may easily cut him. It's a matter of safety. For that reason alone we are returning it.

Nice beginner guitar for my 9 yr. Old student. It fits her perfectly and she loves it . We almost returned it because the gig bag had a tear in it but, she loved the guitar so we kept it . Got this for my 10 year old to learn to play. She loves it. Good size for a smaller person, the black trim and light wood face are so cute, she wanted to hang it on her wall. The accessories are really nice to have. Great kit, I recommend for a beginner!

I went by the Amazon reviews and ordered this 3/4th size (student, travel) guitar. The reviews were right! It *is* a good guitar! I got it today and it sounds as bright as my full sized acoustic Yamaha, which surprised me. The assembly looks quality. It comes with a bunch of extras, including an electric tuner, nice looking soft carrying case, capo, strap, wall hanger hardware, etc. I didn't even need those things; I just wanted the guitar itself to sound nice.
